I haven't sat down to watch that one since HD-DVD.....

I'll bet it looks great on 4k, but I'd be curious to watch it see how it presents itself now, years later as a Kong flick.

This is true but many people also fall outside of this and just get more turned away, the more you push something on them. Even if it's just a simple suggestion.

But yeah being condescending is a good way to turn people off as well.

Unless, of course, someone is asking for a recommendation, I tend to just let people decide if they're interested in something on their own these days.

I definitely don't like things pushed on me either. Once is enough, and I tend to get the gist right after.

I suppose I can be that way even with simple suggestions, but it depends on the person. Like people who I know that can be pushy, or critical of me.

I think too that if someone's "pop culture suggestion" is condescending then it's no longer actually a "suggestion", but instead a passive-aggressive attack. Like the armchair-quarterback-guy who says:

is a lot different than

Some people might honestly be trying to be helpful, but just use the wrong words, and others are just plain tactless, have no filter, and think with their mouths instead of their brains.

Sidekicks

Spoiler:

This actually got released on 4K last month. It never even had a DVD release in North America. It also includes a Blu-ray copy. It even has a reversible cover, which is good since I prefer the latter version, which was the original movie art.

Got the Walmart exclusive My Hero Academia S1 + S2 set from a seller on Mercai. I got it cheaper than buying it directly from walmart

I have been waiting for the streaming bubble to burst as everything is splintered among several services or gray area sites so I have been picking up a few physical copies to watch whenever I want to.

In the last week I have picked up:
War of the Worlds (1953)
Rebel without a Cause
The Wild Bunch
Shrek 4 Movie Collection
Nobody (2021)
John Adams 7 part miniseries

Picked up all 10 original Trek flicks on 4k. Only got through TMP so far, but the transfer is so good that it's made that one one-viewing-watchable at least. It's such a good transfer that now and again the real in-camera effects shots look photo real in space - like some moments where the shuttle is touring the perimeter of the Enterprise and so on.

This is so tempting. Did you get the box sets (OG + TNG) or each movie individually? I did the math and -- at least for me in Canada -- it's about the same price either way.

I have the original releases of the 2012 TMNT cartoon as a complete series. However, I was wondering, this new series set, what makes it different beyond saving space with it all packaged together?
