Illumination is the perfect fit for a Super Mario Bros animated movie, there style of humor would fit very well for it, considering how crazy and wacky the Super Mario Bros series can get.

And somehow Illumination was able to convince Nintendo to let them make an animated feature film, I have a feeling they presented them with some sort of test footage from it, and then Nintendo approved it.

I can't wait to see who they will cast as the voices for Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Bowser Jr, and the Koopalings.

I mean it will be hard to top Captain Lou Albano as Mario

I still remember when Nintendo was in "talks" with Sony about making an animated Mario movie. I'm not gonna get excited until we get an official announcement.

If this movie happens, Charles Martinet NEEDS to voice Mario and Luigi. Even if you don't think the official voices would work in an hour long movie, many people forget/don't know that Mr. Martinet is a Shakespearean trained actor. I'm positive that he could alter the voice enough so it's still distinctly Mario and Luigi, but less obnoxious.

Sadly I think they'll just get some voice actor popular with the kids. Take Blue Sky's Ferdinand for instance. Ferdinand is voiced by John Cena. John ****ing Cena. We can hope for the best though.

I don't have much to say other then that I hope it's fun, entertaining and faithful to the games. Hopefully with Miyamoto involved we won't have yet another in name only movie adaptation...though considering Illumination's adaptation of The Lorax I can't help but feel concerned. Hopefully we get Charles Martinet instead of some random "big name stars" that sound nothing like the Mario Bros.

I've wished for an animated Mario movie as far back as I can remember, the closest we ever got were the intros for the Mario Tennis and Golf Series, now I just have to wait to find out whether this wish will be a dream come true...or a wish straight out of "The Monkey's Paw".

It is nice that we are finally getting animated movies based on classic Nintendo characters. I hope it is good, makes money, and opens up the gate for other video game properties.

Charles Martinet should have been voicing Mario.

trash voice cast, I didn't want Charles Martineti voicing Mario for an entire movie that would be too annoying and I consider him the best Mario voice we'll ever get. I wanted an actual talented VA in the movie and not celebrities.

Interested to see Cranky Kong & Foreman Spike in the movie though, I'm guessing the movie will be a celebration of Mario's history. It'll be comedy oriented of course, but I mean it's Mario, I wasn't expecting a big epic either as long as there's a plot and it's not just comedy.

Sorry not sorry. I do wish against all hope that Bowser will sing that to Peach in the movie, no matter how unlikely it is.

Miyamoto is a little too excited for this, it's most likely going to be a subpar movie.

Honestly Chris Pratt will do an alright Mario if he tries to change his voice a bit and doesn't half ass it. I just hate celebrities voicing characters in animated movies. Jack Black as Bowser means he'll only be used for gags and he'll have a horrible voice. We'll have to wait and see if his take on Bowser will be worse than the ridiculous voice he was given in Sunshine

There's a reason Bowser has only made grunts since then.

I feel sorry for real voice actors losing work because of celebs and producers.
