Speaking of which, I was really hoping we'd see her in City Fall. Maybe some day soon.

I wasn't expecting Harold to come back, but who knows if they might bring her back.

Yeah, I asked about that in one of the other threads. It seems Mikey's micro is the only one that hasn't had a direct influence on the ongoing mythos at this point. I'd like to see the Dresden diamond/Kara show up again sometime.

Heck, like I said elsewhere, maybe she could be IDW's Nobody.

I like Harold too... I'm glad we'll be seeing more of him in a couple issues.

I was reading this issue and when
Spoiler:
The foot attacked they did not go after Alopex at all. So it will makes me wonder if she is still not loyal to the foot, but on top of that how did they find the turtles so quickly???? I would assume Alopex some how.

Spoiler:
if Alopex isn't a Foot double agent, then they must have some kind of tracking device on her. Or, I guess it could be on Leo, in theory. He spent enough time with the Foot that they could've planted something on him without him knowing.

I did think they might have tracked Alopex that way, but never thought about them doing the same to Leo

You boys missed my mentioning of it earlier in this thread. One would think Alopex is a souble agent BUT she is featured alongside the turtles vs Koya on the cover of the next issue. She was called out for setting them up never replied by issue's end. Koya, being a falcon can naturally sense them as a scavanger.

Speaking of the Michelangelo micro, did anyone else get the impression of a Loeb/Sale side story feel with the issue?

That's what I'm thinking too. I mean, a real falcon can spot prey from miles away, so how do we know Koya wasn't just tracking them from a long distance the entire time?

Personally, while I liked the image and knew things were about to go down, the softer art Ross utilized with the Northampton arc left the appearance of Leo feeling a little lacking in the "badass" department.

Again, personally speaking, I felt that scene would have benefitted from switching to "Mirage-style Ross", with Leo standing against the black backdrop of a darkened corner, contrasted by his white eyes, blue bandanna, and the shimmer of his steel blades.

THAT would have been an iconic image!! (imho)

oh huh that is true. but then again think of all the times you've seen a cover with two characters fighting each other who by the end of the issue are allies. I know Koya's abilities must have been increased by her mutation but the Turtles are about 150 miles away from NYC, so I think the Foot must have had some way to trace them at least to the general vicinity. I think they way they were able to do that was through some kind of technical means. Besides just being a lethally-skilled ninja clan, the Foot also have many high-tech capabilities and that's part of what makes them such a threat. The Turtles have finally started to catch up, what with Don enlisting Harold's help

side note, I really enjoyed this panel of Raphael doing Tai Chi

Anyone else pick up on the line about April's dad and the ooze? Might this be a clue to IDW's plans for Leatherhead?

Dude! I was thinking he would mutate but for some reason LH didn't come to mind. If I was a betting man I would probably put money on this prediction.

Keep in mind that he mutated for season 2 of Nick's Ninja Turtles so IDW mutating him into a Wingnut lookalike or anything else like Leatherhead or other wise would seem like IDW is copying the idea. IDW is about ingrating old ideas and making them fresh with thier own added flavor. That being said I do not see that happening. Remember it was mentioned that it was ooze not mutagen. This is the chemical that makes mutagen possible but does not change an animal or in some cases a human's form to appear like a humanoid animal.

Very astute observation! Ooze is most definitely one component, but not the final product (which is mutagen).

Talk soon…

Thanks.

It seems to serve as a steroid inducer like corticosteroids but in a comic book science beleiveable way! It may effect him differently thna it did Arnold Sr. but seemingly effecting his reasoning ability and making him go from this...

to this...

Would it have a similar effect on John O'Neil is the question. Bulked up and lack of reasoning or just simply healed is what I am curious to find out.

I thought it was a great way to end the issue, but as Venom said Ross' art style did not do the scene justice.

I find that hard to believe and I think NY metropolitan is several miles in its self and on top of that NorthHampton isn't just around the corner. So I highly doubt if its from his ability.

Agreed, Ross' art style worked against the tone of the scene.
