It's weird to see casual fans get so excited about TMNT...yet they never watch/read anything in the TMNT franchise. Did they watch the 2k3 or Nick cartoons? Most likely not. Do they remember anything of the original cartoon other than, "Mikey says Cowabunga?" probably not.

I've noticed most people in real life who say, "They love TMNT" actually barely know anything about it and don't follow the franchise at all.

I don't think it matters much if the people in that video are up on turtle lore or not.What matters to me is that a group of grown people seem legitimately excited to see the tmnt show up somewhere in 2017. Especially when that somewhere is a game that features some of the oldest and most influential comic book characters of all time.Even if everyone there only has nostalgic memories of the Turtles(and theres no way we could know that at least some of these guys haven't read the comics or watched any of the newer cartoons) the reaction shows that there's still excitement for the franchise from people old enough to drive and that's great to see.
Hopefully somebody with some pull saw that video and thought to themselves "hey if they react like this when we make them dlc in a fighting game i wonder what they'll do if we put them in a decent game of there own." I've got my fingers crossed for that anyway.
And by the way you've got to remember that every hardcore fan started as a casual until something caught their attention and made them want to go deeper. For all we know this could end up being somebody's tmnt gateway drug.

Apparently Injustice 2's DLC characters have been released on the second Tuesday of every month, so looks like we'll be seeing a February 13th release date for the TMNT. I would suspect a trailer would come the week prior, but guess we'll have to see!

The 1990-esque movie designs work really well. Thank god they didn't go with the horrible and offensive Platinum Dune designs with those hideous nostrils and Hulk-like bodies and the clothing. I feel we dodged a bullet here.

Well they basically just used the 1990 movie designs, but its the best look they could have gone with to match the Injustice graphics style.

Somewhat. The base is the 1990 movie but they refine and update. You can see small touches like Raphael having leg wraps, where Mikey does not. They've also done a subtle tweak to Mikey's belt, which looks good. Some of this may come down to persoal-player customization, but either way the design is great.

So they take a fan-favorite look and modernize it a bit. Individualize them a tad. Good formula.

Exactly! I'm excited to finally get them in the game and see how they play ... it's almost surreal we're getting such awesome representations of the TMNT in a DC fighting game.
