Anyone here checked out Devilman on Netflix? It sounds so dumb but the talk about it have my interest peaked.

I watched and enjoyed it, I have a few problems however. I feel if the pacing was rushed in a few areas and a few scenes in the animation department felt cheap in some areas

Devilman animation/art style turned me off. Looks so cheap.

I think the OVA looks better tbh.

I will either watch the last episode of Hunter X Hunter today or the upcoming week. It's been nice, I could have started watching it earlier but was lazy and underestimated it. I must say I don't regret watching it. I hope the mangaka keeps up the work, so the rest of it can be adapted.

It wasn't the best 1st episode, thought it was kinda boring compared to the 1st episode of FLCL

So out of morbid curiosity I watched Devilman Crybaby and it's everything that's wrong with modern anime. Borderline porn mixed with violence, extreme death, killing of children, and then genocide of the planet.

Japan has some sick, sick writers.

Yea I can agree with that. I thought the same thing, but I also didn't hate it. I'm hoping it will pick up the next couple episodes. I'm assuming it's going to be a 6 episode run like the original.

1. How many modern anime have you seen

2. This is based on a property made in the 70s so its not really modern

3. America and the west have its share of sick writers so its not like a "Japan" thing, read Cross for gods sake.

Can someone explain Robotech to me? It's three anime mixed into one? That sounds totally cool. It's based on the anime macross for the most part but it's its own thing right?
