Finished watching the rebuild evangelion movies, they're ok, perhaps they're better upon a rewatch. Too much action which the original didn't need. It's almost like Dragon Ball Super where it became what fans wanted more than what it was actually. I do appreciate all the confusing **** that needs a few rewatches to fully understand. Not better than the original, but alright.

For Evangelion they had 3 versions you can order. Ultimate, collectors and Standard. Ultimate and Collectors are sold out but standard is still around but the standards version only has the Netflix Dub.

First one is almost a near exact copy of the first few episodes. Second movie has a few more differences but the ending is entirely different from anything the show did. Because of that different ending to the original episode movie 3 takes place 14 years later, it's completely different so you could just start off from movie 3. But if you don't care and just want a sequel movie to the original series just watch the second half of the fourth movie and pretend it takes place after end of Evangelion

I heard there were significant differences. I couldn’t stand the first season of it. All I wanted was for Shinji and Asuka to die at the end....

Finished watching the 4 Evangelion reboot movies, I honestly can't say I cared for these at all. Really surprised reading the positive reviews for these online, I thought they were much worse than the original series and a lot of the themes of the show were lost (or done completely differently and worse).
I honestly didn't know what I was watching at times. What they did with Rei throughout the movies was disappointing. The gay character was kinda pointless in these movies compared to the original series, and Asuka didn't have as many good scenes. |

Started reading two series that was recommended to me. Both are great.
DanDaDan. This one is neat little battle manga about a girl that believes in ghosts and a boy that believes I aliens. A little raunchy in it’s comedy. But still good. Oshi no Ko. This is an interesting one. It has idols mixed with reincarnation with a murder mystery.

Started reading a manga called Rokudou no Onna-tachi. It’s a series where a character uses a charm that’s supposed to protect him from bad people but instead it makes delinquent girls fall in love with him.
Really, really good.

Been rereading some Abnormal-kei Joshua to get some inspiration for a book I’m wanting to write. It’s a pretty fun harem with nothing but Yandere. Sad the series has been on hiatus since 2015

Okay, so the latest chapter of My Hero Academia ( Boku no Hero Academia ) has been officially released.
I still feel that it's incredibly disappointing. Like, I haven't laughed this hard for a long time. And it's already on top of a manga that's currently trajecting downwards ... At this point, it's just ridiculous. Last edited by Papenbrook; 12-06-2021 at 01:02 AM. |
