Power con pre orders for non attendees was a sh!t show. The BBTS pre order was going fine for me even at a ridiculously inflated price and I added items to cart and hit place order and then it said NOPE! And then the Power con website wouldn’t load for about the first twenty minutes and then I was able to add items to cart and checkout only to be told SORRY ALL SOLD OUT! Screw It man most of that crap will get a retail release with minor changes anyhow but I really wanted the Grayskull accessories.

I was going to go in on all three ex's, but the only one I was really hoping for were the Grayskull accessories. But honestly, I was going to pick up a Grayskull after I found out about that pack, but without it and given the $3!(show you mentioned above, I won't fork over for it now. I wonder how long it will be before all of those figure offerings are available at retail.... |

You can't have a MOTU collection without Grayskull, man. Don't do that to yourself over a plastic spacesuit and a clip-on ghost. You'll regret it. Plus we might get those things later, hopefully. You don't wanna have to pay $200-300 (or more) for the thing in a couple'a years when you can get it for $80 right now. Vintage Grayskull prices are ridiculous and they're not gonna make half as many of these. Big Picture, man. Big Picture. |

Cool video review man. That Castle is so well done that it's led me to some "criticisms" that I wouldn't have thought of if it wasn't so well done. A few thoughts that came to mind:
-it would've been a great addition to have a piece of plastic that connected the two floor pieces at the top so that it was more of a "level" than two weird floating platforms. -it's always driven me crazy that those platforms were up there and you were just supposed to sort of "float" or "fly" your figures up there, lol! Another ladder or even a plastic winding staircase would be great. Actually if I owned a 3-D printer I'd engineer a winding staircase accessory that sort of butt up to each level of platform at the appropriate places but in one unit and probably make a fortune in that as a custom add-on. -as for the weapons rack thing you were mentioning - they could've doubled the storage space on the same rack simply by making it double sided. Weird that they didn't. -and then, much like how detailed paint apps change the character of vintage TMNT toys completely, some silver paint apps on anything considered "metal" would change the character of that entire set completely. But again, these points are born of the fact that the new Castle is so good that you can't help but start to think about what it would take to put it over the top. If I was setup for the space I'd honestly order two and butt them up together to make a square with one open end. |

Thanks! Very much appreciated.
Regarding the floor platforms, it's certainly related to how the playset folds up for storage. More of a "practicality/ease of use" thing than a "realism" thing. I guess they could have finagled some kind of removable piece that slotted between the two to connect them but I imagine that outside of looking more cohesive visually it wouldn't have had much practical use, and probably would have broken easily. I'unno. Contrary to that, I think the Weapons Rack not being double-sided IS a "realism thing". Obviously most kids play with it free-standing, but if it were a real rack it would be butted up against a wall, and therefore only have one side to it. Anyways, yeah she's a real beauty. |

Finally picked up another Prince Adam and Skysled from Target. I've been meaning to grab a second one to keep the "MOC" and "Loose" motif going. Target had them marked down to $14.99, so it seemed like great timing.
![]() I also passed up a Stratos on the pegs for the second time. He's the only wave 4 figure I've ever seen at retail, but I've got the wave pre-ordered for whenever BBTS decides to send them out. Also got a notice that the BBTS Fisto has shipped. I'm a little confused as to how I wound up with a random pre-order Fisto when A) I ordered the wave 5 from BBTS as well, and B) wave 5 hasn't shipped but Fisto has. ![]() Last edited by IMJ; 06-08-2021 at 03:27 PM. |

Big Bad Toy Store finally sent me my Origins Ram-Man!
![]() I happen to have my vintage one out (I need to put some super glue on the wristband stickers; f*ckers refuse to stay on) and the resemblance is really uncanny. Aside from the elbow joints (and the extra head and weapons) it's practically identical to the original. Really love that extra "armored" head and the double-sided axe, as well as the fact they were nice enough to include an alternate left hand so he can dual-wield both axes at the same time. Bad-Ass! Never a huge Ram-Man guy, honestly (never even owned his vintage figure until a few months ago), but this is a perfect example of what Origins is all about: Keeping the original vintage aesthetic but making all the requisite "modernized" improvements. Love this line. Still waiting on Wave 4, Wave 5, Battle Armor He-Man, Clamp Champ, and Buzz-Saw Hordak. But it's whatever, at least stuff is starting to trickle out. And it's all incredible, so it's worth the wait in my humble opinion. |

I got my BBTS Ram Man about a week and a half ago and landed Fisto the other day.
More and more I'm convinced that this awkward trickle out strategy from BBTS is to curate seperate shipments to discourage the "Pile of Loot" function which might cost them more on shipping. No one wants to use "pile of loot" because BBTS is so sporadic that half your stuff could be sitting there waiting for other stuff to show up. |

Very possible!
I don't bother with Pile of Loot. I just pre-order everything separately and it comes when it comes. Sure, at $4 a pop I pay more for shipping on separate items but I really don't care, it's a pittance. |

Saw this in a Facebook group and thought it was brilliant. I never thought of doing this before, but what a great way to have your cake and eat it too!
Guy nicely box-knifed his box into a frame for wall display. Brilliant. ![]() |
