Sheesh, take a chill pill, will ya?
I’m just saying, IDW TMNT is circling the drain anyway because of Sophie’s bad writing. Whatever golden egg she teases is bound to be a rotten egg. You may think I’m being way too harsh on her, but I gave her a chance to prove herself right after she announced that she’d be the new head writer, even though there were already red flags. I decided to trust her anyway, and I quickly learned that I made a big mistake. Sorry, but I don’t have even a shred of confidence in her writing anymore. And I know that I’m not the only one here who feels that way.

I flipped through it and you can tell Campbell is the author. All the references to Sally being 'mayor', Jennika flirting with the pig, an ant mutant babysitting Lita, the human Carmen is recovering from something and showcasing just how sci-fi weird it all is, and then it syncs up with the Armageddon Game.
My concern is too much is going on and it has to be rushed to a conclusion like Tom Waltz did with City at War.

... You do know what humor is, don't you?...
Anyway, we've already seen furry-esque Utrom android bodies on future covers. If that's the thing you are afraid of spoiling, we already know about it, hence why nobody cares. That and the fact that this has essentially been reduced to a tie-in would mean there likely aren't many details that won't be perfectly understood if you just stick to Armageddon Game proper. |

I have to say that while the art was "good" in this issue, like a lot of other things it also felt rushed. Like it needed a couple more passes, to add more dynamic coloring with lighting/shading, highlight certain elements, sh!t even some sound effect words and motion lines would have added a lot to this issue. So many IDW issues have done such a good job of conveying dynamic motion and energy, but this issue just felt very static and flat. The writing was also very, "do you guys remember the plan? The plan where we plan to do A, B, and C? No? Let me recap it one more time for you," way too expository. But since the main series is a tie-in for the time being, it's understandable.
All that said, I do like the direction the story is going (things are happening again!!!) so I'm excited to see more

I thought the issue was great, Love seeing more Mutant Town, I love the fun banter between Jennika and Sally Pride at the office
Also loved Seri as well Mona Lisa taking over for Mikey's radio show and things got pretty wild at the end |
