got lucky and found bebop and rocksteady at my local nerd shop. a vender wanted $50 bucks each. i managed to get em through trade and saved them from being made into a lamp.

a bad thing happened this weekend. My apartment burned and is now unlivable. I got out unharmed and the firefighters were able to rescue my cat but the kitchen and living room were basicly destroyed. I lost my animation cels I had hanging up and my ninja turtle room and bedroom were hit with bad smoke damage. Thankfully I have renters insurance but it still hurts. As I type this I’m at the library because of the loss of my computer and most of my games/systems were in the living room along with my movie collections. This does not mean that the otaku shack is dead though. I’m going to see what I can save and most of my manga was in storage. I just don’t know what will be at anime-zap this year. But I’m still going to try my best. As of right now I’m living back home with my parents until I can find a new place and get my life back in order.

Thought i'd give you an update. The figures are cleaning pretty good. I think the layer of dust protected them against the smoke soot. I've been scrubbing them with a toothbrush and blue dawn soap and with the electric ones i'very been using a spray called krud kutter. Its working really well. Lots of work but with the house i'm looking at the new turtle room will look amazing.

got the house in November but have had to do a lot of remodeling, replacing almost all the plumbing and other repairs. my anime convention that I help put on was at the beginning of january. finally started on the turtle room last week. painted the walls, fixed the metal trim around a window and laid down new tile and even have tmnt themed curtains. finally put my tmnt arcade together and have started painting and assembling the shelves I salvaged from my apartment. hope to have pictures in the coming weeks.

theres only 4 places left to check out. the hope chest, randys mall, the zone, and good will. the nerd shop I liked went under in april called heros haven. the other one I check out is peorias acme comics.
