True, yeah.

It's just the biased R. Mika fan in me.

I've never bought any version of those molds of the TMNT ever, but this might be the one to finally do it. But not because of the turtles, but because of who they're paired with.

I realize everyone's hating on these and I can understand why, but I'm actually kinda digging these. I'm not gonna keep the TMNT and SF characters together, though, because they really do NOT look like they belong together, but I want those SF figures. And now a part of me is kind of hoping Playmates expands this just so I can get more SF characters.

That definitely does seem to be something Playmates has over NECA, especially considering how much cheaper Playmates figures are.

No, I won't "buy anything", I actually have never bought any of Playmates' "collector" crap before because of how horrendous they are, but I like how the SF characters look here. Especially with them using Ryu's classic SF2 hairstyle (which I've always liked a lot more than his modern SF4 and SF5 short and spiky hair).

EDIT: I just wanna make it clear. When I said "I'm actually kinda digging these", it's because of the Street Fighter figures. The TMNT figures don't really do anything for me, and that's mostly why I get the negativity.

My wife's a Street Fighter mark and gets every figure she can find based on the franchise. Don't be a dick, dick. They're kids' toys. They're allowed to be not-perfect. If they were $60+ "collectibles" that's a whole other story.

I was actually going to use Chun-Li initially, but then I saw people using Chung-Li, and it made me second guess whether I was misremembering her name's spelling. Sorry for the faux pas. I am a bad nerd.

She's hot, she deserves to have her name spelled correctly.

I am assuming the naming confusion stems from peoples' passing familiarity with former 1980s WWF jobber Tiger Chung Lee, whose biggest claim to fame was losing to Hulk Hogan on TV in 1984, in what was surely the biggest "Who the f*ck was THAT guy?" moment of Hogan's entire career.

Ooh, yeah.

She was probably one of my first fictional crushes when I was super young.

In-deeeed.

Her thighs on this two-pack figure need to be twice as thick.

What makes it worse is I googled the hyphen placement and the spelling of Li and still added the G.

You're a good egg, we all make mistakes.

It's just funny because in my head I was like "Does no one Google?" because that's what I immediately do whenever I can't remember how to spell a name. Which happens more often than I want to admit.

Have you ever been in a roomful of Japanese people? If so, can you HONESTLY tell them part without name tags?

It's NOT Ryu and Chun-Li's fault that their country of origin is so homogenous, SIR.

EDIT: SH*T, I just remembered Chun-Li is f*cking Chinese. Whoops.

Ah well, I'm American, we're not supposed to know the difference.

Actually, the best way to do this would have been to go full on video game aesthetic. Since Tournament Fighters was the objective best Street Fighter II rip-off, they should have done all the figures "video game style" and made that the theme. That would've been kinda cool.

Now I want a Tournament Fighters/Street Fighter mash-up game. Dammit.

I've been waiting for Neca to do the tournament fighter turtles. We're already getting Arma-getting-it-on.... wait has Loot Crate released him yet because I hear Loot Crate is lagging so much as like a dial in modem.

The fighting gamer inside me is a bit disturbed you guys actually have to actually google Chun Li's name spelling. C'mon you guys, this isn't someone newer like Juri, Falke or Menat. This is ****in Chun Li. Y'all should know who she is. -_-

Yeah. Now the naked chick with the white hair, oddly enough, I can never remember her name. Somebody's gonna need to bail me out on that one.
