Diego Maradona has passed away

Argentine former soccer player Diego Maradona passed away today, 60 years old. In June 1986, he led Team Aregentina towards victory when the FIFA World Cup was played in Mexico, defeating Team West Germany, 3–2, in the final game.

He also won the Italian Serie A national championship with SSC Napoli during the seasons of 1986–1987 and 1989–1990.

He is more than a football king, he is the hero of Argentina, he healed the wound of losing the Malvinas War by beating the England team and won the fifa world cup.

Well that explains that. My knee-jerk response to this was "wtf, soccor players are in immaculate shape" and 60 - I'd like to think that most people have a lot of life left at 60.

IMJ it’s FOOTBALL, not soccer. Play with the feet, not with hands like “ American football” or “Rugby with pads.”

So sad that Diego Maradona lost his match against drug addiction. Another footballer who passed away was Paolo Rossi. He died of lung cancer.
