GitD turtles arrived today.

The ooze canister packaging is great (but I'm still trashing it). Love the pop of color from the weapons, belts and bandanas - it's much brighter than the original releases.

They remind me a lot of the sprites from the original Arcade Game.

Wish Mikey's 'chucks had gitd chains. Also, you end up with a bunch of identical hands - and none of Raph's sai hands.

I'd heard about the issue with the apron (which they're remedying, to their credit), but the figures themselves are apparently incredible. Even Nostalgia Unboxed, who absolutely loathes Super7, really loved the Homer figure.

Gary (Raz Rentals) just mentioned a GitD Slash potentially being cool in his review of the standard release. I feel like there was something else he'd mentioned in a review that got announced/teased a few days later.

GitD Mutagen Man was originally an Entertainment Earth Exclusive (MSRP was $55, but now marked down to $41.24 with free shipping) and is now $25.44 on Amazon with Prime.

BBTS is way overcharging since they probably bought them directly from EE for resale before anyone knew how over produced that figure was.

Similar thing is happening with GITD Muckman - originally a NYCC exclusive, he's now available from Entertainment Earth and up for preorder from BBTS.

But things like the GITD Foot Soldier still haven't shown up elsewhere and it's been a few months.

These exclusives really are a gamble on if they're actually exclusive (like GITD Baxter Stockman) or just another overproduced figure.

It's a "pre-order exclusive", meaning it will very likely be sold everywhere else once it's released. Gotta love the semantics.

Cool figure, but yeah, I'm not going in for these GiTD figures anymore. I got Baxter because I was super excited about the line. Got Mutagen Man because he was like $38. They're both sitting in their boxes in the closet.

I actually canceled my wave 9 preorder yesterday, too. I even had it locked in at the glitch price which made each figure $45. But... nah. I only really want two of the figures and my confidence in Super7 is pretty much zero at this point. I might be kicking myself later this year but I doubt it.

Oh yeah, that's right lol — this is Super7 after all. If you have the patience by the time it releases in early 2025, it'll be discounted by that summer lol
