New Figure pics posts

Hello, everyone! I'm a former designer for Playmates toys, but I'm still pretty tight with the employees and still a huge Turtles fan! I recently visited the company and was welcomed with gifts and some teaser pics for the new figures.

Now, these were supposed to be given to you guys about a week ago, or so, but, whatevs! lol Here are the pics if you haven't seen them already! I'll be posting more stuff once they become available to me!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to design for the boy's team, as the timing was always off. My brother and I, were both on the girl's team, and we designed for Tinker Bell, Rainbow Brite and iCarly. My brother eventually, was able to work for a short time on the boy's team.

Although I was part of the girl's team, I was often brought in into the boy's brainstorm sessions, which some involving TMNT. These were cool and I often gave my input to what the collectors, like us, wanted... also throwing in stuff that I wanted (ie. Kino from Secret of the Ooze)

Playmates was a great and fun place to work for! I still to refer to it as "my company" and I will always refer to it as such. Although, our company, had many rises and falls, we are slowly gaining our momentum back, and, hopefully, we'll be back, and hopefully, I will be allowed to rock the boy's side this time!

I wish you good luck on that. I'm still hoping one day we get articulated retro smiling turtles in some shape or form.

Business must be picking up with the Nick show and movie.

sweet

Hook us up with Shredder and Krang when they get painted or at least semi painted and ball park release date on those classics would be great!

That's awesome! Can you let us in one why Playmates cuts cost so much on the nick figures?

No offense, but these are all press photos that were (for the most part) released months ago... Not a sneak peek at all.

I am sure I will regret seeing the Rocksteady, Bebop and Karai figures because they look amazing and the paint apps will probably be horrid compared to these pics when they are released...fingers crossed that I am wrong!

haha Maybe Rocksteady will get the Newtralizer treatment and have his spikes blend in with his grey skin color so you can barely notice that they are there.

Thanks for the post I had yet to see karai and a few others. Very excited.

Hopefully you'll get more positive, than negative response to this post.
People find the need to complain about old news. But collectors like myself who don't have hours to troll through all the random threads on this site, greatly appreciate it.

The Karai is hilariously awful, and that's the first time I've ever said that about a TMNT toy. They'd be better off just taking that head and putting it on an April's body.

Bebop and Rocksteady look super cool though.

So is that it for the movie figures? No second wave?
