Interesting. Morbidly obese video game characters.

So the moral of the story is that obesity is okay? That's not good.

You kind of proved their point by asking.

No, society should not let go of the message that obesity is unhealthy, people need to understand that a dangerous amount of weight can and will eventually hurt them even if society stops with the shaming part over it. Messages about health and the dangers of being too overweight (or underweight, or consuming too much saturated fat, sugar etc) can exist without shaming which generally never works anyhow.

That said... it's just a video game character. Let people have the option to create their player character how they want no matter what the player behind the screen looks like, don't limit it to just society's ideals that much of the population isn't even living up to itself. If people want a diverse set of characters that aren't all built the same, why shouldn't they be able to have that. It's a fantasy world, heart attacks don't exist, fat people don't get easily winded, and people can be resurrected forever.

That character looks like the classic heavyset barmaid character who, plot twist, found herself taking up arms. Stocky Dwarven ladies also exist in games without much complaint.

Been thin all my life, but wouldn't be opposed to making a somewhat heavier-set lady, if it was available in games I play, to mix it up a little bit. Friend and I have been weekend evening WoW players for years. We're currently playing two female Tauren and I kind of like that they have a bigger presence on the screen. Next ones we make are gonna feel so small now. lol (Kinda like that chunky barmaid-turned-warrior angle. lol Been considering a Dwarf rogue or hunter next, maybe I'll headcanon her that way. )

All that said though, I think women are more inclined to create a character that reflects ourselves, at least our first one. My and my friend's first characters were humans with similar hair color, etc to our own. We had the advantage of the only possible waistline being something that mostly looked like us anyhow, though if I consider being in someone else's shoes I can see why it may matter to some other people that they can't make one that reflects them quite as much if that's what they want.

But you can do that already in most games, where you can create a character.
This type of **** addresses problem that doesn't even exist in the first place anymore!

It was foundational insanity to begin with. And so, insane thoughts by insane people tend to run out of control when they are encouraged.

But people are slow to react in general because of social-onboarding and peasant-thinker-stigma. It's a slow ship to turn.

But it's harder to use stigma and social sabotage in spending. And so that is why we are seeing so many of these products have the bottom fall out so badly when it does fall. People claim this is "great great great!" but they don't spend on it like it's "great great great".

The list of of woke **** that has failed miserably is too long now to even track. "Dear White People...."

I'm skinny and whenever I see a fat person I just stare at them non-stop to make them uncomfortable and let them know everyone around them is aware of their disgusting body and judging them. I'd love to see one of them break down from the pressure one of these days.

Like Eric July says, 'Likes and retweets don't pay the bills'. Dude is making mad cash with his own comic, despite only one book being out, while at the same time the people making the woke comics are Marvel and DC are either starving or chasing their bosses around for their commission checks.
