I guess they're going to do a Vol. 2 #1 style restart.

Maybe as Armaggon is the main baddie and apparently there are going to be some time shenanigans, the whole event is gonna end in a "Crisis on infinite earths" type of thing thus rebooting the universe.

Since they plan on doing spinoff comics, I think they should do like a spinoff set at Mutant Town, Call it something like Tales of Mutant Town, So that they can tell stories featuring some of the mutanimals, Mona Lisa and the others.

I don't know why they keep saying spinoffs, we already have a ton of spinoffs and mini-series. We also have two series set in different universes like The Last Ronin and Saturday Morning Adventures already. And the previous non-canon crossovers like the Street Fighter, Power Rangers, Batman ones, etc.

So I guess they just mean more mini series?

Probably a series of shorter stories with the same IDW characters, no? I'd assume Ronin and Saturday Morning, and so forth, would not factor in, being different series entirely.

In theory yes, they could just do a series of mini-series. Until that's no longer profitable and they just stop. That way nothing is "cancelled," per se. There just stop being new mini-series.

Kind of like the Venom minis in the 90s.

I think IDW realizes this might be the last year or two of owning the license so they might as well get everything they want to do done. Having multiple issues coming out every month will speed things up than just one main ongoing for the story.

The Last Ronin Part 2 will probably be the end of that series, I don't see much interest in a new generation of Turtles. Saturday Morning Adventures will go on till IDW is done most likely. We already have a 5 issue Foot Clan/Karai mini, another annual, and FCBD day issue all which will be coming post issue 150.

They might as well wrap up the last loose ends with Shredder and send the Triceratons/Utroms back into space with new homeworlds to settle on.

I was thinking on it...I think to try to drum up more funds they are going to try to go the BAtman route...

Multiple titles within the same continuity of different groups.

Which groups would be the question...how about...

1. The Claw Clan - Aleopex, Raph, Nobody and the children
2. The Foot Clan - The foot clan and Casey Jones
3. The Splinter Clan - Leo and the crew that were pointed out to him by Future Lena.
4. Mutant Town - Mikey, Mona Lisa, April and everyone in monster town.

Could there be more or less? Sure...but this would be mirroring what is successful in the Comics industry right now with DC.

Makes little sense for the last ronin to end anytime soon given the sales, the toyline and the video game adaptation on the way. There will certainly be a third series one way or another.

Is IDW have resources to pull off multiple series at once?
Like, in three different series (IDW Main, SMA and TLR) + mini-series, since I constantly hear how bad state of the company is?

Kill Mikey was a mistake. Most fans want to see he become Splinter, instead of kill him to replace him with this Rey Skywalker.

Exactly! I thought it would be interesting to see him live for two reasons. As you state, to serve as the master to a new generation, but also even though he succeeded in killing Hiroto him dying as well keeps Hamato from getting the ultimate victory in the end. No one wins if everyone is dead. True a new Turtle generation exists and presumably it's the end of the Oroku line and Foot Clan, but it takes away from Mike's victory with his death. Michaelangelo learned at the beginning of issue #2 the value of his life and need to carry on, that seppuku is a waste. In a sense it's like by killing Michaelangelo off then the book commits seppuku. I don't care about a replacement generation with a couple of females. I am there for Michaelangelo!

#150 is advertised as the must-read conclusion of the ongoing series

https://tmnt-ninjaturtles.com/tmnt-vol-v-150-idw/

So…what, the entire series will be rebooted or something? Like DC’s New 52?

If Jennika is still on board post-150, you guys at IDW can just forget about me giving you a second chance.

I might have envisioned a world where Mikey lives on and trains more students but the point is basically Kevin wants to be the one to tell the story of their deaths.

It just sparked more ideas and that’s what we have now. Personally I’ll take it happily because it tastes closer to Mirage than anything we’ve had in probably decades. It’s a genuine Kevin Eastman - TMNT comic without much if any editorial oversight.

I mean, there are a lot of things I’d do differently but the fun is seeing what the creator would do to his own characters as a send-off. I’m not saying the book was perfect but I feel like critiquing it for what it’s not, story-wise, sort of defeats the purpose. If you’d do something differently, it’s your story to tell.
