They have mentioned the spring platform that launches the turtles out of the roof (I would imagine it won’t be functional and just a display attachment)

I've got 2 of these next to each other which I use to display LEGO sets (the Mega Construx Technodrome and the Ghostbusters Firehouse both fit!).

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/malsjoe-glass-door-cabinet-black-stained-60303481/

Three stacked dios will fit side by side across the top with something like 5-6" clearance on top (can't have the backing boards attached, but I don't like those anyway, they curl over time). Will have to put short or seated figures up on the top level. Plus there will be a little extra space on the side where XL Krangdroid should hopefully fit.

I bought my Malsjö's back before they doubled in price... :-O

Hmm. Well, hopefully there are some other more exciting ones than that, I'd probably skip just that!

I just opened the S7 ThunderTank and NECA Turtle Van in the same week.

ThunderTank is perfection but, as an early adopter, I am not thrilled to see $100 discounts. Between the ThunderCats and TMNT S7 lines, I probably lost close to $1000 Never preordering from them again.

In contrast, while the NECA Turtle Van is solid, it's prone to flaking and there's a few texture irregularities on my copy. It's an 8/10. Not fragile but not super playable. The pegs and attachments on the side door blaster are annoying. Battery operated head and rear lights are a nice touch. Quality wise, it's definitely a $250 (or potentially less) product as you can tell they've cut corners and it won't even come close to the quality, durability and spaciousness of the upcoming Super 7 Party Wagon, but at least, it's toon accurate.

I personally think the NECA turtle van was about $100 over-priced

It looks nice, but it's got "fragile" problems with the door hinges. You have to be very careful moving the doors and swapping the gun turret.

I also wish the roof blaster canons didn't stand up as high. They could of made them move all the way down. I know after putting it together, it didn't blow me away or anything and I more had the feeling of "I just bought another over-rated, over priced toy"

Very possible as McFarlane is able to pump out relatively large vehicles that appear less fragile (more playable) for significantly cheaper. The matte finish for the NECA Turtle Van also feels kinda cheap but does resemble the type of flakey paints they use on their very own figures. However, having said this, the van displays well and has great toon fidelity.

Got my turtle van today, which was a surprise since Neca sent me the wrong tracking number (!). It's nice looking and has some great detailing, but a tad fragile for my comfort so it'll be a display piece for sure instead of something I'm handling often and using with other lines. Some other observations:

*The drop down door on the driver side fits very tightly into the frame. I can't even fully shut it because I'm not sure I can get it open again easily. I though I was going to break it when first opening it because the bottom of the door does not fit the threshold.
*The back doors do not close, or open that well and I had to put some silicone shock oil in one of the hinges to make it open smoothly.
*The front roof canopy does not re-attach very easily and I found that fitting the front pegs first and then the back two was the easiest method.
*The laser chair door hinge is very weak and I probably won't install the chair until I decide to use it for permanent display.
*The passenger door hinges are incredibly fragile. I can see accidentally knocking a door and easily breaking it off the frame.
*The lights are really cool, and I like how you can see the glow of the red back lights inside the van.
*I wish there were more detailing on the body of the van like outlines or cell shading. Though more paint would have probably made this thing cost $300+
*The van does not roll very well and each wheel is on it's own axle. One back wheel is slightly oblong making it look like the turtles have a flat.
*The battle wall does not fit into the pegs behind the bench seat very well and requires a delicate touch to assemble. The ladder rungs on the battle wall are super fragile.

I'm still happy with my purchase. I ordered the sewer lair and I already have the street diorama, so once everything is delivered I think I'll really enjoy my TMNT display. All said, the presentation is nice, but some of the execution of this line over the years has been hit or miss. Some figures being very fragile or suffering from QC issues (bebop/rocksteady, splinter), while some being absolutely amazing (usagi, turtles in disguise).

One thing that I constantly wonder is how long these figures and displays will last before the plastic breaks down or gets brittle from the environment. I live in a very dry area, so I'm not too worried, but all plastic breaks down eventually with age.

I can see one the turtles being displayed/sitting on the door canon and the weight of the turtle and gun breaking the door off over time.

I don't own one, but if I did I'd want to display it with the door open and gun in place. Given the hinge fragility I'd find a piece of clear acrylic or something similar to put under the door and take pressure off the hinge.

I was pretty sure the van would have these sorts of issues, or some sort anyway. It also isn't all that detailed IMO. I bought the DeLorean NECA made and it was complete and total crap, and overpriced AF. They know how to do figures and anything else is a risk. Even the street dioramas could be massively better with minor enhancements, but at least with those you can't beat the price.

I see the complaints coming in on that door hinge expecting it to snap off. You'd think NECA would of re-enforced that door with the weight on it. Like I said, the Van was not worth $265 shipped

That Turtle Van looks amazing, now I want one! I passed on it when the pre-order was announced, but now looking back I should of got it. Anyone know if NECA plans on re-release pre-orders? Otherwise may have to get a scalped one on Ebay.

The underground arsenal van is soooo much better based on the reviews ive seen. I am still waiting for my NECA van to arrive however.

As far as displaying them, I feel like NECA's van is much better - to me, the UA one looks like a toy (I know this is a terrible way to explain this, but it's the best I've got). Both need more paint applications on the body because they look kind of bland with no real detailing (though NECA's roof is much nicer). In terms of build, though... UA's is so much sturdier. NECA's feels like the doors will snap off if I look at it the wrong way.

All of the reviews I've seen seem to point that way too. On it's own merits the NECA van looks great, but then second you see the UA side by side to the NECA model, the UA takes it immediately. Honestly, I hate to say this because I sat on that damn NECA pre-order for so long, but I wish I ordered the UA van all that time back and just put this to rest then.

And also to spend this much money on this thing, have the exaggerated waiting period for it and then get something that has hinges so flimsy that if you use them 4 times they could snap? That's completely BS on NECA's part.

Isn't NECA's disclaimer that they their products are not made for play?

My order for the van says it was fulfilled on 11/17. The fedex tracking still just says "label created" from way back on 9/6.

Is anyone else still showing this for their tracking?

I didn't manage to order the van ( hoping to if they do 2nd run of orders) but I did order the some sewer lair pieces and the toon accessory set... and they had labels created many weeks ago (seen in FedEx app) but nothing shipped. So I don't think it's unusual for them. As for why they are doing it this way... who knows.

Mine just showed up one day and the tracking number they gave me still just says label created. I think this was the case for many people. I want to say a couple of people on here mentioned it and then also some YouTubers had the same issue.

Usagi 4-pack preorder (I don't know what line this counts as now) will be part of NECA's sale tomorrow.
