I'd be interested in seeing a Doctor Doom movie, even through I'd prefer an actual FF film first (a good one that is).
But what about the normal film audience? How on earth could they get casual viewers to have any interest in a film like this?

It really has to suck for all of the actors and actresses attached to things like New Mutants and Gambit and this, if it does, in fact, happen. You know, they spent years developing or pushing a thing, it finally happens, they went in, or -- worse yet -- are about to go in, give their all, give a great performance, then do the media press junkets afterwards... all the while knowing full well that the movie they filmed is meaningless and will be completely ignored/voided in the midst of the Disney acquisition.

Don't you think they kinda already know? If the actor or actress knows enough to lobby or get a role in a CBM, by 2018, they KNOW which studio (cough Marvel cough) is box office / career gold and which studios are not.

Marvel = $$$$ unless you're Terrence Howard or Edward Norton
DC/Fox/Sony = ???? unless you're Gal Gadot, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellan, or Patrick Stewart
