So... Han Solo Wannabe: The Series? Following FAKE Han Solo: The Movie, that failed? Seems like a very ill-advised choice.

FYI, without that video link there, I would have had no idea "Cassian Andor" was a character in Rogue One.

Yep.

Only good thing about this being a thing is they can work to retroactively make Rogue One a more interesting story.

Dignity. Among some of those entries. But that looks about right. And I don't remember anyone saying the 2 Ewok movies (which would be after RotJ) don't count. The 2nd one actually had balls. And given Lucas' involvement, the general "Shadows of the Empire" probably ought to still stand, too, right between TESB and RotJ.

Yeah the Trilogy that Rian Johnson is working on. I don't know where it'll fit in with those. Since this new Trilogy won't have anything to do with the Skywalkers. And be set in some other part of the galaxy. And there is also the movies that the creators of Game of Thrones will be working on as well.

Well the Ewok movies are no longer in continuity but before Disney Star Wars they were meant to take place before ROTJ officially but it creates a continuity problem since Widget learns English which he doesn't know in ROTJ. The fix is that he didn't actually learn English but another language which was just English for the audience. The ewok cartoon actually leads into ROTJ since one of the episodes has the empire finding the moon of Endor.

According to who? Disney said the EU was torn down. The Ewoks movies weren't EU.

Who the hell asked for more Cassian? Along with the rest of the RO characters, he was introduced entirely for the purpose of dying. And it's not even like with Obi-Wan who was an old man with an established past of being an overall badass and continued to have a role as a ghost, Cassian is just some Rebel assassin who could really only have operated for like 5 years.

Lucasfilm specifically mentioned that only the 6 films and Clone Wars were canon going forward. Yes, Shadows of the Empire as well.

They're stupid. Nobody should listen to them.

A Star Wars Universe where Shadows and KOTOR aren't canon, but TLJ is, is the absolute ass of all possible Star Wars Universes.

...AND WHAT ABOUT "DROIDS"?!?! Those idiots have no idea what's important.

That character doesn't really need a series of his own.

Looks like it's entered into production now:

Couldn't care less about it, honestly. A weird choice.

You cared enough to look up a two year old thread and post in it.

Rogue One was the last SW movie I watched. My opinion of it is that when I started writing this post, I couldn't even remember its name - let alone the names of its horrible characters - because it was so incredibly bland and unmemorable.

I keep forgetting to watch that one. All I ever hear anyone talk about is the Vader clip, which I've seen already.

Kinda hesitant. Even if it's "good", it's still Disney Star Wars, which I'd strongly prefer to disregard in its entirety. I'unno, maybe one day. "Not as bad as the other stuff" isn't very high praise.

Stra Wars Rogue One is pretty safe, doesn't do anything to piss you off but it also does nothing to excite you which is why no one remembers anything from the movie. Rogue one isn't bad, just forgettable.

The Vader scene is cool but doesn't make sense timeline wise since it's right before ANH. The villain in the movie is great as awesome as Tarkin but they gimped him when they added Vader and cut his scenes out, so you see the potential but instead if getting more we get Vader.

The robot was funny and there's a Force user who isn't a Jedi because they couldn't which hurts his character. I prefer the Kyle Katarn Dark Forces version of how they got the death star plans, it's more fun

See, that part has me curious. For example, despite being a big DC fan I find the CW shows to be trash so I simply don't watch them. Or like, I hated "The Last Jedi" enough to know that I didn't need to see "Rise of Skywalker" (because nothing, no matter how well-intentioned, can fix the mess that movie made), so even though I loved old Star Wars I know not to mess with NuStar Wars.

So I've probably asked this before, but if NuTrek stuff is all so terrible - and by almost all accounts, all of it really, really is - why would any self-respecting Trek fan torture themselves with it? Like, at what point does a person have to just walk away?

I sincerely doubt anyone persists in the hope that "It might get better".
