Wasn't expecting to start things in media res like this, but I suppose it makes sense to get introductory stuff out of the way quickly since it's only four issues. Mikey's flashback is also essentially the mini-comics from the toys, so they're obviously banking on you buying the figures for the full picture. (I wish they also included those in the upcoming trade collection.)

I WILL BRUTALLY KILL HEMAN. I started watcing Heman(1983) series two weeks ago iam now on episode 40. Have you notice how he wears red under wear and red shoes very similar to that the Krang robot(1987) wears? I will ally with Skeletor and together we will conquer Eternia!!I became monster and Krangs robot now is a living monster too! Skeletor made it a huge giant who looks like Orc. We brutally beat the turtles!

I'm a little confused by this story. The aesthetics imply FW but it ends with a retelling of the Triceraton arena from Mirage?

Personally I’m just slotting this in to the sequel to the Batman trilogy. Like the Heman/Thundercate/Injustice duology.

Was very pleased by the Sla'ker and Leatherhead cameos. The former looks rad AF in Freddie's style.
Eh, it's like the MMPR crossovers: a hodgepodge of different designs and elements from across the franchise, but not really meant to BE one specific version. There's a bunch of FW inspiration, but you also have stuff like Sla'ker reflecting Slash's toy design rather than his animated one, Shredder's armor sporting the 2k3-style Foot symbol, and the previously-mentioned Mirage elements. |

Not sure about the writing, but the art is lovely.
They manage that "call" and they don't even say hi or act like they've missed each other. It's just "yeah, this happened, bye." It seems weird that Donnie would think it's appropriate to ask that of Splinter right then and there, rather than wait until they're back home. Also, Mr. Black Shorts is definitely not the naked Triceraton from Mirage. |

These crossovers are basically, "30-40 year olds mashing their action figures together" which is fine for what it is, I guess.
