So... Any New Year'S Resolutions?
A bit late, I guess. But I noticed nobody was talking about it.
Various recent events here and elsewhere have forced me to consider the fact that I am generally way too nice to people I talk to on message boards. Therefore, my New Year's Resolution is to stop being so nice to people, and to tell them exactly what they need/deserve to hear, even if it comes back to bite me. I have been polite, and I have been patient, and I've decided it doesn't really pay off. Therefore, I resolve to be more of my True Self, and to live with whatever consequences that may bring. Anybody else make any? I know I can stick to mine, how's about you guys?

I sort of silently decided to get a huge move forward with remodeling and repainting. Ten days in and I just wrapped up the downstairs bathroom. So if I drop out now, I at least already got something done.

New years resolution is to finish my fanfiction which I promised myself to do last year. Last year I was going to finish the remaining 14 chapters, but only ended up doing 1

Nah, I never bother making any. Only things I actually stuck to in the last couple of years were unofficial resolutions in hindsight.

I want to go to the gym and get back in shape like I did years ago before the pandemic. Also, I want to get involved in some new friendly and romantic relationship.

To get thinner than THIS:
Not because I care about what I look like (at least not on an obsessive level), but because I want to live longer with little to no health problems. Time to get on the treadmill.

Try Intermittent fasting. Its something which helped me tremendously (lost 25kg) and I'm at a normal weight after years of struggling.
What I did was eat a good hearty breakfast in the morning, maybe a snack for lunch but nothing for dinner (usually using the night to workout). All the best! My new years resolution is to get a promotion and pay rise in my career, expand my social circle of friends, engage in more professional networking and make more opportunities for myself to engage in more public speaking.

I do intermittent fasting too, but I find it really hard not to eat at night, so I just wait long into the day before eating.
Eventually your stomach adjusts and it's not hard anymore. A starting tip is to supplement with black coffee. Obviously not to an unhealthy extent, but when you're starting out, it's okay to curb your appetite a bit. Also, it's imperative to eat healthy if you intermittent fast, because your obviously eating less and need the nutrients. Yeah, it can be hard at times though. Lately, I have been getting hungry earlier and earlier into the day. I gotta say though, being someone who enjoys marijuana, and therefor gets a lot of munchies, it can really put my discipline to the test. Feels good to overcome **** though, as we all know. |

Back on the wagon and stick to cutting out the nighttime snacks or eating late. (Save for a couple allowed weekend game nights.) Largely already cut out the bedtime snacks in the fall, but long/late work days though the holidays made it hard not eating dinner late and that sorta derailed it.
edit: Guess I aught to go remove those chocolate covered almonds from my bedroom... |

Thank you!
No, that was actually taken in a local comic store. I go there at least once a week.

I pledge to succor more progressive stances that concern significant affairs.
I don't want to actively avoid contentious subjects; I aspire to convey consistent convictions that are properly lined with an enlightened, clarified basis. |

I have only one resolution for this year- to get my witch cave set up! Now that I have an entire room in which to work, I plan to set up a REAL altar (instead of just clearing off my coffee table when I want to do anything magicky) and also a craft/Craft space for all my projects. Currently about to start on a holiday Wreath for next Yule. Can't wait to get the room set up!

Witch cave... that sounds pretty awesome. Also, good to see you pop in. Hope you and Mr. Duckie are doing well.
