Not sure what exactly this means for the franchise. I was a huge fan in the late 90’s-early 2000’s, stopped watching after the attitude era. My favorites were:

Steve Austin
The Rock
Triple H
Mankind
Undertaker
Kane
Big Show

For me 1999 was the greatest era in WWF. I slowly lost interest after that. 2007 was interesting though, the DX reunion, battle of the billionaires, and that whole Benoit thing was crazy. I believe WWE had to tone down the violence after the Benoit incident and it was PG after that.

Probably "Vince is talking to potential buyers, including some Saudis" became "OMG, Vince is selling to the Saudis!"

One of the potential buyers are the Saudis, but someone posed as a fake reporter on Twitter, posted it and everyone ran with it without even fact checking it.

They would probably come out and say they want to honor what was built and that no one should worry about any changes. And then two minutes later the whole company would become about the women's division.

I think out of all the potential buyers, I would prefer the Saudi's.

All other companies in the race are just content producers for their streaming services.

And after the Thunderdome era, I think Watching wrestling is a lot like sex. Best enjoyed in a group

I can see WWE becoming filmed on a sound stage at a theme park or the Vegas strip at this rate. I think Wrestling needs an arena of rowdy fans to help make it more interesting.

I think the Saudi's we keep it as big time live events, I'm just not planning on traveling to Jeddah to watch Wrestle Mania XLI
