Fed Ex shooting near Airport (close to home)
I heard a little about this but it suddenly hit close to home to know that one of the victims that didn't make it was the father of our very own Lisardo.
I know she hasn't posted on the Drome in eons but she's devastated by the news as am I since it was a shocker. I'm just shocked, we hear about these things all the time, and yeah they're terrible but you know, we carry on with our day. It's shocking when it affects someone you know. I can't even imagine what she's going through right now.

That's just ... shocking.
I hope that the injured will recover safely. I hope that the victims will be able to rest in peace. My thoughts are with all of their loved ones. Quote:

What gets me are stories like this that seem to come out of a lot of these mass shooting events: that the FBI interviewed the shooter or the shooter was known to them in some way. Why do they feel the need to let us know that when all it seems to do is speak to their incompetence? Seems like they could have done something to stop some of these...but just...you know...didn't.

My understanding is right now Liz is busy trying to get to her mom (sounds like they live in different states) so they can be there for each other during all this.
I was reading some of their posts where they found out about her dad being one of the victims but without being allowed to know what happened until the authorities were 'allowed' to finally speak. My god, all that waiting must have been torture, only to find out that the worst came true.
