Back to the Sewer Questions

So I'm on the Back to the Sewer season in my rewatch of the 4Kids series. In the season premiere we see the "Shredder Wars" scene. Does anyone have any thoughts on what exactly that was? I remember when I saw the episode for the first time, I thought that it was a story that would be featured. But now I get the sense that it was some kind of alternate timeline that Viral brought them to. With the way that events ended up playing out through the end of the season, and Turtles Forever by extension, those events never came to be.

The BTTS season also introduced us to Master Khan. Do we think that he was one of the Foot Elite? I've always made room for the possibility that he was, but I've never been certain. In the second episode of the season, Khan says that he learned the turtles fighting style from Casey. This doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to me. I mean I would think that a foot elite would be more able to explain the turtles fighting style to Casey than the other way around. A foot elite would've already known the turtles fighting style and wouldn't have needed to learn about it from Casey.

I'm not entirely sure and I could be wrong but I think the Shredder wars were covered in the Saturday Morning Adventures comics.

I did notice the elite ninja music played with Khan so I would think he was an elite ninja.

On Master Kahn, my head canon is that he ran the Japan branch of the foot after Karai left for New York in City at War.

There’s a lot of information around on what Shredder wars roughly would have been in the cancelled second season of BTTS.

I think people read way too much into the Shredder Wars thing. It was just a fun and interesting time travel story for a season opener.

Logically it makes no sense. Ch’rell and Cyber Shredder are literally the exact same person. There is no way they would have been fighting against each other.

Obviously this type of fiction loves to bring back “dead” characters, but all three Shredders had already completed their full arcs and were wrapped up nicely (unless Ch’rell was back for this in lieu of Turtles Forever). Cyber Shredder would have been especially lame returning in a hypothetical season 8 right after his defeat in season 7.

As for Kahn, I think it’s more fun to imagine he was an Elite. Definitely some hints towards that. Learning their style from Casey was just a way to incorporate him into the plot, I would personally overlook that.
