What I'm most interested in is the big Oliver Stone "TRUMP" movie. You just know it's coming.

I do think he does have expert skills at trolling people though. he knows how to push the right buttons to distract his opponents. look at the mess the democrats are in. they've spent two years trying to trash and find dirt on him. I don't think they even remember 2020 is coming up.

Trump: Jobs, jobs, jobs, the economy! Democrats: Trump is bad! That's it? It's like, OK... you can keep saying he is bad, but I'd like to know how you think the democrats can do better. I don't mean that tongue-in-cheek, I really wanna know. What's their plan to increase jobs or boost the economy? They don't even talk about jobs (well, beyond "Trump's numbers on jobs is probably wrong!"). It's just stuff everyday about "Trump is bad! He's a _____ (whatever the word is today)!!" or "Russian collusion proof in T-minus 5, 4, 3... damn, but probably next week!" What are the democratic policies on the ready line that will truly improve the country and the workforce? I mean, really? What is supposed to be attractive to vote for on the democratic side nowadays, exactly? Just hate for Trump, the want for socialism, radical gun control and open borders? Because that's all I really hear from that side... and those are all bad things.

I’ve heard some talk from the democratic side about free college for all, higher federal minimum wage, federally decriminalize marijuana and Woman’s health issues. I think those topics separate Trump from his opposition. Hopefully next election is based around the issues. But doubtful. I’m sure plenty of distractions will show up.

I’m not sure what will be the most important issues going forward. Seems like after we have 2 terms of one party the other party gets a turn. I’m guessing one more term for Trump and then a Dem will be elected after that.

The fact that they lost to Trump pretty much already proved that.

To be fair, so has the GOP, seeing how it seems to have fractured and become a shadow of what it used to be; taken over by the more extreme end.
The Democrat's ship my be listing a bit, but it's not sunk and can be righted. The Republican's ship however seems fractured and none of that infighting will save it, nor letting one half of it sink, expecting the other half to stay afloat, and it certainly isn't good for the country. I mean when we are at a point where I've seen plenty of Repub/conservative voters online celebrating McCain's death... Wow. At one time he was kind of their guy. And now this? Such a shame. |

Whereas the Democratic Party, if it needs to reinvent itself, still hasn't figured out how. And the Libertarian Party keeps advocating for Weed Rights.

I guess I've never really thought about it in as broad of terms as those... but I guess that's exactly right. Though while I was young at the time, I remember Bill Clinton being conscious of... both aspects, perhaps even leaning towards jobs and economy? Can we get back to that? "I'm big on social issues and f*** Trump!" isn't going to win an election.

Anyone see any of the memorial at the Capitol?
I was looking at the quite old woman in the wheelchair, assuming she might be an older sister of McCain's, only to have it pointed out later by news anchors that she is his 106-year-old MOTHER?! Oh... my god. No one wants to outlive their child, but to outlive your 81-year-old child because you're still kicking at 106...? Whoa. |

There's a reason why Vietnam vets and POWs loathe McCain, but of course, you won't hear that on the mainstream media:
