Me neither, but see.... this is at least the kind of reinvention that is for a generation that isn't "us" and I think that's okay. At least it's not permeated with woke $#!( and maybe it will get a new generation into MOTU. Which is cool.

But yeah, this current young generation's obsessions with socialism and that sort of hive mind mentality is not my thing - the "Shazam family-ing" of everything.

It's like the difference between telling kids "this is your hero and you can strive to be like him by bettering yourself" and telling these new generations "you are all special angels who all get what you want simply by being here".

But see.... I don't like it, but at least it's a generational message instead of woke $#!(.

I'm all for re-designs and all that, but the only characters I legit recognize are Adam/He-Man, Cringer/Battle Cat, Skeletor and Trap Jaw. The one who I assume is the Sorceress looks like someone out of Clone Wars and it's weird to see her just frolick around with the rest of the gang as their equals.

Gonna take a while to adapt to 'modern day humor'. While old cartoons relied on bad puns and what would now be considered dad jokes, modern humor relies too much on 'main character being an idiot or the one you least expect to be the main character', characters always saying 'wait... what now??' towards the often-times ridiculous premise of the show itself or 'it's funny cause the savior of the world/universe/all reality are a bunch of kids'.

I did like the part where he was asked if He-Man is still Adam in the inside or if Adam's consciousness goes elsewhere while He-Man takes over. I mean, it's always been assumed Adam is still Adam and is in full control of himself as He-Man but it's cool to actually see it being brought up.

I didn't know there was another He Man series, so there's 2 series now.

Yeah.... it's always been "When I become He-Man" and not "When I let He-Man out". But sure, it made for an interesting character moment.

Again, it's not one I'll watch but I like it for it's fun tone aimed at the younger generation. The whole "Shazam-family-ing" of everything to make 'everybody' happy I think really speaks to who these people are..... good and bad I suppose.

Well this looks... Different... Are any of He-Man's allies, aside from Battlecat and this weird robot Orko, previously established characters? They don't look much like any I've seen...

Yeah, I definitely saw elements from all those series combined into one. Ragtag group of teens with different skillsets transforming into brightly colored armored heroes. Animal and robot mentors/sidekicks. The blend of futuristic technology with ancient magic. Alien and mutant villains with human disguises. Some of the dialogue and story direction. And just the overall tone of the comedy and action scene choreography. Also, the character designs and animation look very similar to the Nerd Corps Entertainment stuff like Slugterra, Max Steel, Storm Hawks, etc. Everything feels more lively, dynamic and larger scale than most other 3d tv shows.

I understand some He-Man fans and action cartoon fans in general would prefer something more traditional but in terms of remaking a series for todays audience of kids I think this is the right path to take. It's unfortunate that one look at the stylized designs, hearing some hip hop music and having a few characters be race and gender swapped will have people immediately writing it off as trash.

OMG hahahah

Apparently Ram-Man has been gender swapped and is actually "Ram Ma'am" now, and speculation is that Teela was race swapped.....

The woke pendulum swung so far with people's nonsense and extremism, man that it seems that burnt out a lot of tolerance as it swings back before it hits a norm again.

This new He-Man series does away with the fantasy elements and made it more scifi, Orko is a robot now.

Perhaps they're wary of doing that, since they already tried a more traditional series nearly 20 years ago.

The toyline is what killed that because it was 99% nothing but He-Man and Skeletor figures and the small percentage that wasn't ended up becoming incredibly rare and expensive.

sigh.. it could be good, but looks like he-man in space. we had that already.
and it didn't do too well..

So, finally finished all of revelation. It could have been a really well received series. if they didn't do things out of spite and bait with SJW nonsense.

We should have gotten 'wild teela'. make her more a barbarian with un tamed long wild hair. emulating he-man more.

He-Man's secret should have been revealed, and the death should have been the consequence of that reveal, showing why he had the secret. THEN everyone would have been able to keep their emotions in check with some time to process it all and a clear plan to get him back.

That way, you don't give man at arms the jake skywalker treatment, or you could still have him take some leave to look after an ailing orko.

you only kill off he-man once. doing it twice ruins the first time, and makes it seem like you hate the character.

SLIGHT changes could have made this a more fun to type mini series. but nope, we can't have that anymore.

The second death was more of surprise (shock factor). I know that a lot of people still won't like that he died twice, especially when they just got him back. We know he's not dead though.
I'm watching this through again actually, some things you miss with one watch through.

I'd say maybe we should have two separate threads for these toons but then it might not be needed if one or neither last very long, this one is already established now too.
They are different things so hopefully if say the kid one takes off, it won't have any bearing on the decision to renew Revelations for more than one short story.

Adam didn't die the second time, Kevin has confirmed this over a dozen times. Adam was wounded by Skeletor..but sure, believe the Quartering, Clownfish, and all those other reactionary idiots.

Going by what has been shown so far, he did die twice. It's so bad Kevin had to spoil his own story to reveal he didn't die cause that decision was just so stupid.

No he didn't, he was still breathing after he got stabbed, they never showed him dying.

New details on the new show from the Power Con stream

Adam was raised by a jungle tribe, very much as in the mini-comics, alongside Krass (Ram-M'am) and Cringer. The power of Grayskull also now has a rival energy source that goes by the name Havoc, which is what Skeletor and his minions tap into to become Masters themselves. Skeletor, as Keldor, initially craves the power of Grayskull until Havoc gives him his abilities and turns him into what he is now. He decrees that Grayskull's power is inferior and vows to snuff it out
