Now that we have a glut of CBMs, we can pick and choose--and thus we become pickier and choosier. Also because there's a glut, standards raise and competition becomes more fierce.

Why go watch Thor 2 when I can watch Suicide Squad instead? Or why would you go watch Man of Steel 2 when you can watch Black Panther instead?

Soon, very soon, there will be a consolidation. Probably after Marvel Phase 3 completes and the first one or two Justice League movies hit the big screen.

Studios will focus on making fewer better movies that have a better success rate... it can't keep going like this. Marvel, at least, has definitely improved their game of late. WB/DC needs to find its footing pretty soon. And Fox... sigh.

We, DC is 0/3 at this point, they either need to seriously rethink their approach, or just drop it all together.

It's like DC is trying to do something new, but that new-ness is getting squashed by committee right before launch.

Every single one of their movies has been like this post Burton's Batman.
Nolan's Bat movies have their faults, but lack of voice and direction isn't one of them.

Just give it to Bruce Timm and Paul Dini, that would be a good start.

Maybe Dini is what kept Timm from that sort of thing...

True, but Timm's always championed that pairing.

What's that TrollNines? You're a scum and your sexuality is doing your own mom? Gotcha.

Whatever rocks your boat.
My mom's so handsome, though.

I consider myself to be pretty damn handsome.
Especially when I break out the tux.

I'd just like to point out that the colloquialism is "whatever floats your boat." The other one being "don't rock the boat."

Words! They matter!

I'm an author and a man of education. No closeted about it.

Fantastic.

Do you think Alan Ruck would work for Reed Richards? For me he feels right, and would be an interesting addition to the Ruffalo/RDJ Dynamic.

Possibly. Haven't seen him in anything, but that bio pic on IMDB looks pretty spot on.

I like it. Comic accurate casting for the FF would be very cool.

Imagine Sigourney Weaver as Agatha Harkness. James Earl Jones as Galactus' voice.

And, just for the hell of it, Gilbert Gottfried as the voice of HERBIE.

Right? lol...nice additions. Sarah Michelle Gellar as Sue Storm, and ... Chris Zylka...looks like a solid Johnny Storm.

Wow. Good calls on both.

Still, Chris Evans was a great Johnny Storm.

He and Chiklis were the only solid portions of that movie.
