So...who banished Krang from Dimension X?
Krang is a banished warlord, but when we see Dimension X in season 1, Tragg and his rock soldiers still seem to be maintaining order there and the Neutrinos are fugitives they are in pursuit of.
So....who exactly sent Krang to Earth?

If we go by the Nick cartoon, it's Kraang Subprime. I used to think it was the Neutrinos but it's nowhere mentioned in the original cartoon that they are the ones who banished Krang.

I don't have a strong memory of it, but didn't we just once see other beings like Krang but still with their original bodies? Some kind of weird dino/lizard/Godzilla-ish bodies? Think they might have been other warlords and were the ones who may have banished him? If so I don't recall why, and I could be wrong.
edit: Never mind, I guess I was thinking of this ep, but seems they were clones who grew new bodies like what Krang once had. https://turtlepedia.fandom.com/wiki/Krangazoids Some amount of solders staying loyal to Krang might make sense, but it's an awful lot for someone who was banished. |

We don't talk about the 2012 "Neutrinos".

It's surprising after the amount of years that series was on tv they may not have ever touched on that. Shredder's family, sure, but Krang's situation pre-Earth which might be more important... *shrug* If anyone ever did do a movie based on that series, that might be a decent plot hole to look at. |

Since no-one was ever cited, I'm more than fine with this answer. I liked how the two had their continuities woven together, the whole multiverse thing.
Assuming that never happened, I'd guess it was some sort of galactic council, maybe. I dunno.

Let's just ignore the Nickelodeon crossovers, shall we?
Now there is one thing the Nickelodeon crossovers might be correct about, Krang could very well have been banished by his own race. Banishment usually implies you are no longer allowed in your own nation of origin, which I guess translates to his own planet in Dimension X here. The problem is that we don't know what his actual crimes are, though when a leader is exiled, it tends to be because they tried to commit a coup. So if Krang was banished by his own, it is likely because he tried to maintain power through illegal means. Another possibility is that he allied himself with an enemy of theirs, let's imagine the Rock Soldiers are enemies of Krang's people and since he accepted a role as a commanding officer in their army, he simply wasn't allowed to go back to his people. Another possibility is that Dimension X has some kind of regulatory body for treaties, kind of like the UN or something, and Krang had somehow betrayed Dimension X as a whole. This would explain why his exile is outside Dimension X. Of course none of this is explained and I'm basically writing a better show in my head right now. There are several question marks that need to be explained here. Just for simplicity, here is a list of them:

I always assumed that Shredder built the Technodrome (I mean, there's a big Foot logo on the door) with Krang's input, but then again the builder is mentioned in later seasons isn't he?

But yes, technically I couldn't find any reference to the Technodrome itself being from Dimension X. Just that it is Dimension X technology. But if we assume Shredder built it, that may be an even bigger headache to solve than the assumption that it came from Dimension X. If we assume it is from Dimension X, all we have to figure out is why Krang was allowed to keep it while in exile. If Shredder built it...
Democrats? So Dimension X has a two party system? |

*Seven. It used to be eight, but then Corey Haim died. *Special lenses that bend and refract the light, built out of super-rare sunstone minerals and polished with unicorn tears. *Shockingly, the exact same internal parts as a 1998-model JVC Kaboom Box. *The contractors couldn't copy it because the instructions were written in Dothraki. *They had to outsource some of the materials from Alderaan. Unfortunately, it was after Alderaan blew up, so pickings were slim. Shockingly, it's actually a 12-party system. However, just like here the Democrats repeatedly rise to the top by telling everyone exactly what they want to hear and then proceed to do absolutely nothing.

Unless it was members of his own species and/or world that banished him, then the the banisher of Krang were locals to that world, not aliens.

Didn't TMNT 2012 actually create a form of continuity between that universes big Krang and the Fred Wolf Krang's banishment? I seem to remember something being there and if it did then it's hard canon - I mean it appeared on show.

If Fall of the Foot Clan's manual is anything to go by, it was the Galaxy Cops, whoever they were.

I hate that all krang are supposed to be either rouge or vanished kraang from he 2012 series, but it is what it is. Sure you can take the cheap way out and say that "the original writers didn't mean it like that" but they don't own the franchise or the continuity of it.
Instead we need to find out how all the mess that the 2012 show did and try to explain it. Because if we go by that then why do the Rock soldiers look different between the OT and 2012? why are tehre two general traggs? and they're very different? |
