I had a cool TMNT Colorforms set. The setting was a city rooftop, and a giant mechanical spider thing was scaling the building (it might have been the Knucklehead.)
I remember being inordinately fond of it, despite being thirteen at the time. If anyone has this, I would LOVE to see a pic of the background piece. |

The subject of cereal has jumped around a bit on this thread. Now correct me if I'm wrong but when I was a kid I remember a different kind of TMNT cereal. I remember the ones with the marshmellow bits with the "checkers" things, but wasn't there one that was more of a fruitloops style crunchy green turtle head cereal? I have this memory of seeing a box of turtle cereal that was all green turtle heads that you ate... maybe I'm crazy but was there more than one kind?

There was one that was fruit-loop style with turtle heads, which was released in Canada (the one I use to eat).

I love going to Garage sales and thrift stores. Ya never know what treasures u might find.
Well over the weekend there were several yard sales. One next door at the church (which I walked away with a bunch of goodies....books, some turtle (non-TMNT) plushies, and a Piglet pillow) but across the street there was a yard sale where the money was (supposadly) going to help in cancer research. Well I couldn't pass that up. Glad I went too cuz now I have a TMNT suitcase (and some Black Stallion books I didn't have)! *lmao* I almost didn't get it but my mom was all "You should get it!! It's an antique!!" The copyright on it says 1991 and is basically the guys (Original series style) eating pizza after beating the crap out of Rocksteady and Bebop (who they appear to be standing on). Shredder is head first in a trash can so you can only see his butt sticking out. I don't have a working digital camera so unfortunatly I can't post the image of it. Ah well. But hey Im all prepared if I have to go anywhere over the weekend. I've got my classic TMNT suitcase and my 2K3 Backpack!

Some of my coloring books(I know dorky, but they teach you kinda how to draw also). Inquire for pics of more/better pics. Very cool variant of the monster jam hot wheel with metallic shell and blinged out rims. Pic of random items that changes all the time, this is just what it looks like now. Complete set of all the Mega blok TMNT playsets. I even contacted them and asked for extra elite guards and weapons for other mini figs I have. They sent them to me for free in like 2 days. One of my "hardest to assemble" collections. I found these at the dollar store, and thought I could get the set if I bought a case. I ended up buying 2 cases, having tons of doubles, and still needing to get 2 "rare" ones off ebay. Since then, I see the complete sets once in a while. So fresh and so clean! Thrashin mike at kaybee closeout for $5...Score. Magnetic art board. Mutant Makaer. Stamp set. Roller skates that will never fit me, but I saved from a rummage sale...with the box. So fresh and so clean, clean!

Found a food candy item that I can't recall eating, but for the turtles to promote eggs....Well, that's a different story altogether.

I totally had that TMNT cereal, I remember I got cereal bowls with it that I hope my mom didnt throw away. She has trashed many nostalgic treasures. I also have a bootleg TMNT don that is about 2" tall. A nearly perfect replica of the original toy. If not for the sloppy paint apps which is the trademark of most bootlegs. I got it around 1990. Still have it here in mint condition. If you look closely you'll see his mouth is white and his teeth are green. ha ha. Looks like they used a wash instead of painting the teeth. I wish I still had the packaging. The packaging was also a replica of the original in mini size. |
