Yeah, I think that's because we've never really seen Leo SAD. I mean, sure he's been sad in eps like Bad Day, but he's always got to push the grief aside to take care of his family. He focuses on the here and now when it comes to his family. IMHO when he walked into Splinter's room in AO he was full of lots and lots of shame, but wasn't actually sad. Maybe (hopefully!) we'll get to see him tear up later, but I don't think that anything that's happened so far in the series really warrented him to do so.

Raph, on the other hand, thought that his brother was dying. He was scared that Leo would leave him and felt (I would imagine, at least) unbelievable grief at that idea. It was when he was saying that Leo was too afraid to come back, when he voiced the idea that Leo wouldn't be coming back (aka dead) that he teared up.

(& yes, that scene got to me too!) I bet if their roles were reversed, Leo might have gone misty eyed at the thought of Raph dying. Plus, Raph's always seemed to be more in tune with his emotions. Leo hides behind a shell of control. He won't let himself be distracted enough to think anything that would make him tear up...he just practices non-stop until he goes mental and slices his sensei's forhead open. nice.

Um, in order to make it seem like this post was slightly on topic, I'd like to request any and all shots (that we don't have already) of really emotional expressions (full of pain) of Leo and Raph. Especially more of Leo from right after he slices splinter up until Splinter sends him away. Let's see how close he gets to looking like he's going to cry!

I thought the HeMAn thing was HILARIOUS.

Raph's supposedly the one who hold in his emotions, but ya know, I kinda like how he's really the MOST emotional one out of all the guys.

You guys are as sadistic as I am, lets soo those close to tears captures! There should be one of Mike when Zog drowned. He ALMOST got upset.
They all kinda seemed indifferent when Fugie crashed...kinda stood there, oh well he's dead lets go home. Total star trek funeral though.

I remember one episode though... Can't remember the name of it, but it's the one where Baxter Stockman keeps eappearing defeat after defeat in Shredder's building (In the beginning of the entire show).

Splinter is thrown out a window, Leo jumps out to save him, catches him and Splinter tells him to leave him and go help his brothers in the fight. When they come back for him, Splinter is gone.

When Splinter has told Leo to go back, the turtle wipes away a tear/maybe more tears, before he growls and runs back to the fight... So there IS a soft side

Oh yeah! So why didn't they show a tear like they did on Raph just five episodes before that? Hmm, guess the leader's not allowed to have blatant "weakness," but just the suggestion of it. Ah well, at least we know he cried, even if we didn't get to see the actual tears. (just as we know he bled, but didn't see the blood)

So can someone please get us that shot? (Leo wiping his eyes in Return to New York part 3) And maybe the look on his face before and after he rubs his eyes? Please? Thank you!

I Want To Take This Time out To Thank And Appreciate Every Single Tmnt Fan On This Forum And All Around The World, For Supporting Our Favorite Characters And Fueling Them To The Heights They Have Reached Today.
