It's aesthetically pleasing for collectors that just enjoy leaving their toys or statues relatively untouched/intact on the shelves. Having said this, I would like to reiterate that I cannot believe that Playmates is the same company that's responsible for making the excellent 2K3 figures (not just Turtle Titan) and then making the Cobra Kai rubbish almost a decade later.

Yeah, it is pretty sad actually. I look at their old Star Trek figures and wonder how a company that did such a great job getting the details of these, especially faces, can be so crappy now.
