Scheduled radio and television ruined family time for almost 100 years, and more or less prevented many families and friends from going out evenings and do something else. I'm not sad to see it go.

Even as a child; I would often hometape programmes instead of being dependent of the clock all the time. If I played with my friends in the afternoon after school, I home-taped programmes and watched during early evenings.

These days, I only watch live broadcastings like sports at the time they air. The rest, I stream a day later or so, using each channel's play service to skip the boring commercials. Then of course, there's the Youtube but that's more for watching video clips...
Because of continuity and timeline errors, I've given up writing fanfiction based on the 1987-1996 animated television series. Instead, I'm trying to reboot the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles story, something many other fanfiction writers already do:
