River City Girls
Finally got River City Girls, the modern day sequel to the classic River City Ransom games on NES:
It's available on every system and on Xbox Game Pass right now. A great modern beat 'em up. |

Amazing game.
A very good graphics, music and a gameplay. Fast paced beat'em up which is a rarity. |

Remember when I first saw artwork for this game, I thought it was Blossom and Buttercup from Powerpuff Girls.

It's a great game; a lot of fun, looks great, has a great soundtrack that I keep listening to and getting stuck in my head after not playing it for months even, and the callbacks to older Kunio games, even the Japanese exclusives, are insane.
The only part I disliked (other than stuff they eventually patched) is Godai's voice actor. His delivery sounds like he's not even trying and he keeps flipping his accent mid sentence. Apparently he's supposed to be some YouTube rando but that's not an excuse considering how many internet people they have in the game that actually can act. No idea why they thought it was a good idea for this guy to be in the cast.

Hopefully if they make a sequel the girls ditch their "boyfriends" who clearly don't like them back and decide to become lesbians together.
