Meh. It's a direct Figuarts copy and paste. They're learning too much from Playmates.

Are these really $15?
That's playmates' price point but with better articulation and paint.
I find it hard to believe these are $15, Loyal subjects has always been a premium brand
in my mind.

I've been wanting this for years. Those stiff $18 5 PoA ReActions don't cut it.

Okay, so they're just gonna be 15 dollars? That's way much more affortable. But I'll still pass on them. Bowever, if they continue the line and do more figures, then I might get those. Always interested in more Shredder figures.

I'm all for this. As an adult collector, what I'd like to see is a reasonably priced line of cartoon accurate figures that I can actually find. I realize that these are basically a poor man's Figuarts turtles, but that's what I am - a poor man, lol.

Plus, the nearest Target is at least 45 minutes away. I don't have the time or patience to drive out there just to find that the NECA rep bought everything himself or some goofball crud like that. I actually gave up trying to collect NECA for that reason. Still have never seen April, Casey, and many other characters in person.

So, an affordable line, sold at Walmart (and places like it) with the potential for character expansion? Count me in.

Yes, that has been the MSRP for these for quite some time now. Why would they not be $15 if 6"-7" figures are $20?

Saw these on toyark, came here to see if anyone else saw these are figuarts rip-offs. You did not disappoint.

How are they getting away with it??

Man I have nothing that's 5" but PLS is also making 5 inch beetlejuice and lydia and Ozzy Osbourne which I all want, if these are $15 I might just get them to have more stuff at that scale..

My guess is that they bought the molds.

Wouldn't suprise me. I know the company said years ago the line was done. Might have decided to cut their losses and sell the molds. Hope this happens.

Probably Bandai doesn't even know that The Loyal Subjects exists.
Also, there's nothing to take action to. Can't sue someone based on a few art work released online.
And then comes the more serious part where there's no proof of plagiarism when it's 2 companies making products (In TLS case, planning to) that's based on the same license with the same reference guide/art.

I remember back in the day when Hot Toys and Enterbay were both making an Arnie figure based on Terminator2. People accuse Enterbay of copying Hot Toys when you can tell they are different sculpts. And yes there are similarities because both toys were suppose to look like the same actor...

Imagine a fleshed out TMNT line scaled to the G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary figures with a Scarlett-sized April and appropriately shorter Turtles and so on.

The vehicles. The articulation. The sculpts. All of it. The TMNT line I've always wanted, man.

wonder when these are coming. this is that line you can find at Target right? They released some anime characters recently. Not adult collector standards, but good for the price for kids or casual collectors.

Considering how hard it is to get the neca turtles for most people, and the fact playmates has no TMNT on the shelves right now, this would be a nice option to have in stores. I definitely look forward to seeing the in-hand pics, they might even be worth picking up for myself cause why not. They are cheap.

That's ridiculous. The figures are different scales for a start, not to mention the articulation differences.

I would imagine that both companies would have been working from the same control art provided by Nickelodeon.

Thing's arent like they were pre-nick era, turtles figures are a pass for me now because there's so many to choose from.

The only chance they have for me to buy them now is if they have a vastly different take that looks good. BVTMNT figures succeeded and super7 has me right on the edge due to them aiming to remake the classic toys instead of a particular shows incarnation.

I imagine I'm far from alone in this now, which is going to be interesting in the future as companies start to realize super7 has it figured out by going for outside-the-box styles and a focus on B C and D roster characters instead of the standard A's
