I still think SoR4 is the more fun beat em up in every aspect from gameplay to music but this game is also really fun. I'm surprised how easy it is to find people to play with online. I think that'll change in a few months but for now, it's best to do this while it lasts. I'm surprised they brought in Tempestra but also only use Tokka and Rahzar during those fights and not give them their own boss fights.

Amazing game, better than SOR4.

Visuals are astounding and the best presentation of OG cartoon in the video games.
Gameplay is fun and dynamic, which puts it for me higher than SOR4 and on par Rive City Girls.
Music is good with some tracks being amazing.

I'd love to see an IDW expansion with Alopex as one of the characters... but the cynical part of me knows full well the only potential character that'll come out of IDW is ****ing Jennika.

There are rumors that Mona Lisa has files in the game as a cameo character.

I don't think we'll see anyone outside of original cartoon characters in this even in DLC. There's a reason why everyone has their original cartoon design including Slash and Wingnut, whereas the older games used the Archie designs for them.

If we get new bosses it'll probably be Granitor, Lord Dregg, Scumbug, Antrax, etc. rather than anyone from any other series.

Playable characters should definitely include the likes of Mondo Gecko, the Frogs, Lotus Blossom, etc.

Karai would be fanservice for those that grew up with Tournament Fighters. Her and Hun are for us 2003 fans as well.

I'm surprised Zach didn't have a cameo in this game (regardless of whether one liked him or not).

I agree,this is the first real 1987 cartoon game and it's what it should continue to be instead of a hybrid of continuities. Super Shredder was already cutting it. Lotus blossom instead of Karai for example.

I'd like to see Karai and Tatsu, I know they are not exactly OG cartoon, but as a tribute to other continuities. Besides, both had appeared in Konami games.

Very true. I was thinking that as well ... more than likely any additional villains / playable characters would borrow their 1987 cartoon design.

Usagi would be a fun addition.

If they are going to put the time into creating all new sprties and animations, they may as well just start developing a sequel. It takes a lot of time to craft sprites.

There is much they could do to evolve the gameplay mechanics further. Imagine more dynamic level design and destructibility, platforming innovation, new enemy types, better graphics, new modes, or even new combat mechanics, like block or parry.

I'd like to see them focus on that rather than working on extra characters for the same game that already has seven playable characters and 16 stages.
Granted, some of that could be done via dlc, but it still feels like spinning wheels to me.

I personally hope for a short 6 level long DLC.
It won't put strain on the devs and it will allow to reuse all of the amazing assets they did.

New characters, boss rush, and a survival mode. Seems like about as much as you'd expect from a beat 'em up.
