I know. I don't care much about creators just the characters that are involved and how the characters are portrayed, but when Tamaki was given Detective Comics I dropped it for her name alone. Now I may well have to because I wanted a Hal Jordan title and have every issue since his return to the mantle. This is where the completst hurts while I have various runs in Detective Comics so its okay.


Also, it surprises me that Tom King still gets work, but two ongoings. I doubt that the Penguin title will last any more than a year's worth of issues. I assume DC is hoping to get some mileage out of the HBO Max Penguin mini-series.

So the next DC threat/event is a Suicides Squad Civil War as Amanda Waller wants to contain meta humans. Sounds pretty lame especially since her heavies are Peacemaker and Composite Superman. I didn't think this last Suicide Squad movie did any better than the first one and I prefer the first one so I don't know what DC wants to double down on a no name like Peacemaker.

Upcoming in World's Finest we see Linda and Dick go on a date and the beginning of a world traveling arc featuring Metamorpho. The odd thing about the failed date is I wondered about the dynamic between Dick and Linda, the classic #2s of the World's Finest, but because of their tether to Barbara Gordon, Dick being the love interest and Linda was the best friend before COIE.

They're doing that again? Around 2009 they already brought in Magog and even gave him his own series.

Bendix was the antagonist of Jon's short-lived Tom Taylor book

I picked up a few of the original World's Finest volume and one thing stood out, it refers to the Superman/ Jimmy Olsen team like they are crime fighting partners. Would that not be Superman/ Supergirl? In fact in the Brainiac/Clayface II team up had it Jimmy unable to work at Superman's side after taking kryptonite dust and had to switch places with Robin. Robin and Jimmy couldn't fulfill the other's role that well. It seemed so odd. Jimmy is not trained to fight crime let alone endanger himself in the line of Brainiac or Darkseid!


Also, Cadmus is it a executive branch funded government operation? Meanwhile Star Labs is a high profile technology imdependant company? I get the two mixed up.

Tamaki is no longer going to launch Green Lantern: Hal Jordan, but instead Jeremy Adams who has knocked it out of the park with Wally West in the lead of The Flash. This is welcome news!

This is of no surprise considering his run. On the surface it is like the first 40 issues of New Teen Titans being celebrated with the same lineup as the 1999-2003 Titans title did in reference to the original Teen Titans. However, I am weary of the Diverse Heroes of the World interfering and joining. I would rather this be the opportunity for Barbara Gordon and Linda Danvers to interact with the Titans. Taylor has done very well on Nightingale except for two things. First, we know that Dick is the leader of tomorrow's heroes and Bruce's greatest accomplishment but we don't need to be reminded every few pages. Additionally, we have a serial killer still roaming around 23 issues later and Dick does not seem bothered, but instead taking up Taylor's 'all criminals deserve a fair trial and aren't inherently evil' stchick.


DC did a 180 with Hal Jordan and I look forward to his solo title starting up again. The promise of him being Earth bound is reassuring and something that has had little time since he was restored back in 2004. There are a few of his Earth based villains that are heavily underused and only Black Hand was updated to fit the cosmic setting.

In the Superman relaunch by Joshua Williamson, Lex will hand over ownership of Lexcorp to Superman and it's rechristened Supercorp

I wonder if this is DC's way of mimicking the Parker Industries era of Spider-Man, but showing how more involved it can be by including Clark's marriage and family.
