Hello from 199X!

Hello everyone!

I have been a long tome lurker of the forums. I grew up with the original TMNT cartoon, movies and toys.

I have always loved TMNT, I started looking at the franchise closer once the 2012 TMNT were released.

Love the site, love the forum. Here's to more TMNT!

Hullo thar! Always good to see new blood springing up around here!

We deeply encourage all new members to visit each quadrant (sub-forum) and find a table (topic) to sit and chat. No room? No interest? No problem! There are plenty of places to scratch that itch. Unless that's a rash -- it happens sometimes when folks venture off into dicey areas. Just keep calm, quiet, and head to the nearest cleansing zone.

Which reminds me, bathrooms are located on the lower levels -- you can tell my the smell and amount of yelling. They used to be higher but there was an accident involving moderators and Mousers. Lots of chomping, lots of run-off, lots of paperwork.

Have fun!

Haha that was awesome!

Thanks for the welcome, I'll definitely be going through each section.

Especially anything re: TMNT videogames and users collections.

Why 199X? What has this with the 1990's to do? Is it because you grew up back then.

Definitely

So I grew up right in the thick of turtle-mania '90 - '94.

I also got online around '98 - '99. Back then , I had the idea of making a TMNT fansite called "Dimension-X" (would probably sound like a porn site to anyone that doesn't know TMNT).

True story:

One of the first things I did when I first jumped online back then was search for TMNT sites. Mainly, I was looking for a site that would have a gallery of the complete toy line.

Remembering the packaging read "Playmates Toys", I had the genius idea of looking up "Playmates".

Needless to say, that got me kicked out of the cyber cafe

There was a TMNT fansite called Dimension X (I think it had the Internet adress Lordkrang).

And the term Dimension X has been well-established in other science fiction for years. The most famous example is an NBC radio programme airing from April 1950 and September 1951.

Oh nice, I'll definitely look it up. I could spend hours looking at TMNT toy pics.

My unicorn is the original green turtle blimp.

I did get the re-issue they did a while back, but that one had the 2012 bottom and it doesn't have any mounting support even though the box said it did >_<

Would have loved to hang that one next to my original 2012 blimp.

Curious, has anyone been able to mount this blimp from the ceiling? Would appreciate any tips
