The Assad regime in Syria has been overthrown

President Bashar al-Assad of Syria has been overthrown after more than 24 years in the driver's seat. Previously, his father, Hafez al-Assad, was the President of Syria from March 1971 until his death in June 2000.

After being kicked out, Bashar al-Assad has escaped to Russia and been granted political asylum there. What will happen to Syria next? Nobody knows yet.

After so many years, this vile excuse of a human being is finally gone from Syria but instead of being brought to justice he‘s up for a cozy retirement in his fellow dictator buddy‘s country. The heartwarming lesson of course is that as long as you have money and power, there are no consequences for whatever crime you‘ve ever committed. Just like everywhere else in this world we are living in today.

Considering Russia was funding al-Assad, it isn't too surprising he's buggered off to the "mother land" in exile...

Glad to see Assad gone, and of course the puppet coward flees to his master Russia instead of defending his homeland.

With that being said, I'm cautios of celebrating too soon. Every time a Middle Eastern dictator has been ousted from power, they have been replaced by something even worse.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Oh yeah, I'm sure things are not going to get better for the Syrian people too soon.
