Saw it, finally. Remember when I was theorizing, "Hey, maybe Marvel Studios will try and manipulate this movie to maybe be the first official appearance of Mutants in the MCU?"

Yeah, no. This was boring and BAD. It might have worked if it came out in like 1995. I feel bad for the cast who were duped into this and thought it would lead to big things in the X-Men verse. That was never in the cards. I can't even imagine how extensive reshoots would have saved this.

Yeah, this movie does suck, and it really sucks that it sucks. I expected it to suck, I got pretty much what I expected but... Well... Part of me still wishes I had a better time. There is a reason I decided to watch this in the theatre despite the fact that it is an obvious turd.

Because... It's the end, you know? Obviously we're getting an X-Men reboot as part of the MCU, so there aren't any worries that we won't see Wolverine, Cyclops, Xavier, Jean, Beast, Nightcrawler, Mystique, Magneto, etc. in the movies again. But there won't ever be any more sequels to the 2000 movie, even if a third of them ended up being total trash, it still makes me a little sad.
