I'm sure you guys can find articles on it, but basically someone checked the list of charities and found out that Scott Cawthon, creator of FNAF, donated to Trump, McConnell and people that could or could not be against the LBGT.

Dude got slammed, and even though at first he didn't stand down and apologize to these leftist crazies, he announced today that he will be retiring soon.

IMO his charities were his own business, and some of them were years before these candidates would launch plans or say things against the LBGT and he did also donate to charities supporting the LBGT dealing with suicide issues, so it's not as black and white as these crazies would like to think.

The most we can hope for is that he will continue to at least oversee the SteelWool games.

But in all honesty perhaps this is a blessing in disguise? Obviously FNAF will continue but it was getting a bit repetitious with Scott, he got a little too excited with the lore and I think the series had suffered because of it. MatPat finally made a video on things. He did some research and determined the one thing all the people Scott donated to had in common was they were all for stronger military defense against foreign attack. One of the people he donated towards was actually pro-LGBT at the time he donated towards her, and he was going to vote for her until she dropped out of the race leaving him with Trump as his option.

Mat is staying pretty much neutral, admits American politics suck and will continue to do the FNAF videos, as I assume he would as his theories on the lore is the true money maker of his channel.

Kotaku made an article about it. The comments are blasting MatPat and trying to cancel him on previous jokes. Everyone has to be a saint to these people.
