Top Classic Episodes

Hey guys and gals, some of you may have read my list of my favourite TMNT comic stories over in the comic forum. I've now down the classic show as my latest column and I'm currently doing the 2012 series. I'll do the 03 series after that. Hope you enjoy folks.

What makes you chose the numbers in your lists? (27, 33, 41). Most people would probably have 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and so on.

I don't want to do what other people do and really I don't like leaving some out so I just draft up my favourites, cut a few and see what we have left.

I think you accidentally switched some scenes between Casey Jones, Outlaw Hero and Corporate Raiders From Dimension X.

My cousins favorite classic TMNT cartoon episodes were the ones with storylines that featured characters that were made into toys. The new ally or foe of the week or weekend episodes, if you will.

My favourite episodes used to be those where a full-powered Technodrome ran around, and the turtles had to infiltrate it. In other words, series finales.

Great list. Must’ve taken a while to compile it. Those episodes are some of the most enjoyable in the 1987 series.

That was really fun read, and agree with many of your choices. (especially the top few such as Corporate Raiders from Dimension X, and Enter the Fly, those are pure classics!)

Thanks for sharing

Shredder could've done more than blow up the Channel Six building. I don't mean as far as murdering Splinter, but think of the possibilities if censors were not an issue.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Ahh it's possible! Those were episodes I didn't go back and watch for research as I arrogantly thought I remembered them well. ..wooops. I'll watch them and change it.

I wish I could say I was joking. The weekday Fred Wolf episodes with Casey Jones, Metalhead, and Leatherhead were usually met with cheers at my cousin’s house.

I recall watching season 3, and wanting the Technodrome to rise to Earth's surface again.

Yes, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the bad guys first succeeding in the Big Trilogy after 44 episodes.
