And another year is coming to an end...
2021 will be over soon, as you know.
It wasn't a very good year, needless to say. Still going through the pandemic. Hopefully 2022 is better. But the future has become rather uncertain since March 2020. |

I still haven't moved on mentally since 2005. These last 15 years have been a blur.

Speaking of which, while last year it seemed CoVid literally ate all other diseases, I guess it didn't mind sharing center stage this year. Just got hit with a nasty flu Sunday evening. Should of be out of my system by tomorrow, but it was not a fun time.
For a moment there I thought it was my turn to dance with Corona but I never got any of the classic symptoms, stuff like being short of breath or losing taste or some crazy high fever or none of that. Currently getting plenty of rest, drinking fluids and forcing myself to eat to get my strength back.

2021 was another mixed grab bag year - some good stuff with some dumb sh*t included.
I got to see my family this year, and they will probably come back next month. That was one thing that didn't happen in the latter part of last year. More jobs in my area were open this year, so that is definitely a plus.

It was a small improvement over 2020, but the tar pit (edit: brier patch?) of that year has still had too much of its roots embedded into 2021 and wish it could have improved a bit more by the end.
Good night 2021, you at least tried to be a little better. Though you also took Betty White as a parting gift. But in that case, life now owes us a good 2022. Or at least acceptably decent enough one. |

Just yesterday there was some new interview posted where they were asking her about turning 100, how she's lived so long, etc. And in my head, a little voice said, "Y'know... I bet she's not gonna make it." And here we are. They just had to jinx it. DON'T DO THAT SH*T! Never count your goddamn chickens, man. People never learn. Anyway, it was marginally better than last year. I had a nice long paid vacation and spent a ton of money I shouldn't have spent on sh*t I don't actually need but am glad I got anyway. And I got a new dog. So I can't complain too much, other than finding a new job is proving to be much more difficult than anticipated and I have no idea how that's going to go. Ah well. One day at a time.

I've been having health issues since the end of 2020. It only worsened in 2021.
I hope that I feel better in 2022. |

Basically me. Gonna try to get my finances back in order in this upcoming year. I already checked off 2020/21 as my years of gluttony, so now that this stuff is hopefully ending, it's time to buckle down.

Happy New Year from U.S. eastern standard time zone!
Hate on CNN all you want, but buzzed Anderson and drunk Andy were kind of the best thing on besides the New Years ball. lol |

We were watching the one where Miley Cyrus's tit popped out.
2022 is off to an okay start.

Same. Overall a small improvement over last year for me. I did a few further education courses. It was great to be back in a classroom environment and interacting with others in person.

Nice to start the year with an already familiar sight.
