And? What's your problem? I don't need to waste time repeating stuff that's been said. You wanted answers, they were provided, but now it's not good enough because it's not from me? I'm not trying to pile on you and have you answer to me what you're already answering to Leo, but you love redundancy.

And even if Leo hadn't posted, I still have no interest in playing your game. You're shifting the problem onto me and trying to get me to answer meaningless questions like it somehow diminishes what I had to say and you only did so because you took offense, otherwise you wouldn't have felt the need to absolve yourself with just having some fun and creating discussion.

The only reason I've continued to pursue this little endeavor is simple:

I have received several messages from members here who have thanked me for speaking my mind (hi, y'all!). They're not comfortable with confrontation, or maybe they care about their reputation. Maybe something else. I don't know.

But what I do know is they've been incredibly kind and supportive. And I appreciate them.

And it shows how weak that culture was that people started leaving when faced with unassailable counterpoints. If you accept that, then consider where am I coming from. Nowadays the push to politicize everything is so strong, they even say choosing to stay out of politics still counts as taking a political stance. You just can't win.

Bingo. Exactly my point of view. only my issues started on the Replica Prop Forum. First place ANYWHERE I encountered the woke mind virus and was gob smacked by some of the replies.

Post Number 1, was complaining about how a skimpy, over weight cosplayer got so much attention for her cheap costumes, when women who don't show skin with AMAZING costumes go un mentioned. I got beaten down on that one like the world was ending...apologized, and they brushed off the apology like I was in the wrong for doing it. Red Flag #1.

Post Number 2 that is still legendary on that forum, was constantly trashing feigbusters, and having fun doing it. By that point, I wasn't going to stop with my opinion and pointing out the truth on such matters, and got banned on my only internet forum in 30 years of online stuff.

A little while after that, I learned about the term 'woke'....and trump did his video complaining about the ghostbusters movie. after all the flack I got for bringing up facts, that got me interested in him then. And why I still can't believe the left can't let him go long after office.

only reason I got 'political' is because politics ruined my favorite escapisms. only way to fight back is to stay on top of it.

I made one post on the replica props forum in my life. It was to sell a Blade Runner blaster that was sold out. Immediately got destroyed by like three of the loud-mouth posters over there on the peasant-thinker principle of "new guy wants to sell" and then of course "my asking price" and all of the laugh emojis.

EVERY generation ages out of pop culture and says "This new sh*t is AWFUL! Back in MY day we had GOOD stuff! They ruined it!" This is one of the most consistent things about human beings. The things that got "ruined" and the sinister "they" who were behind it all, those things are variables, but it's ALWAYS the same basic thing.

And those people NEVER "win". They just keep watching, playing or listening to the Old Stuff they liked when they were young, and ignoring or bitching about New Stuff. Same sh*t, different day.

I understand that, but that's a very different topic. I know certain talk is inevitable when it comes to various fandoms. I'm not talking about the Marvel threads, the Star Wars threads, and so on. I think it's fair to say a great many of us do indeed share an actual interest in those topics and of course, we're going to talk about the elephant in the room. But Bros? I've seen the trailer to that movie at least 3 times this year when going to the theater and not once have I felt compelled to talk about it nor did I feel attacked in any kind of way by it. It's simply not for me.
