Now that you think about it... 2K3 was a bit better structured. Every time they faced Shredder they thought they put him down for good... so there was no reason to think that story was still on-going. And that left it open for filler episodes or other villains until the Shredder returned.

I'm sure if there was a season about raining Mutagen they would have done a better job of sticking to it than ignoring it for a few eps and getting back to it whenever.

But unfortunately, Nickelodeon has had a working relationship with SeaWorld in past and possibly still today. So I can't think they took too kindly to word against a former/current company partner.

IF Nickelodeon fired Jason, judging by his every day tweets, I get the feeling he's the type of guy that might slag them off something rotten. He's certainly not afraid to offend.

"Cowabunga to you too you ******s." Or something along those lines.

I guess the only way we will know, without hearing anything from Nickelodeon or any of the production staff, is to simply watch the credits on the subsequent episodes and see how often Jason Biggs is replaced. For all we know, he, his wife, or his new child could be having some medical illness which could explain the temporary replacement. If this replacement becomes a permanent thing in the future, then I'm sure it will be adding more suspicions about the abrupt change.

With most companies who are involved in the public spotlight, especially involved with children, like Nickelodeon, Disney, Mattel, etc. one controversial public remark/comment about sex, politics, religion, or a tirade of profanity, can be easily used as grounds for dismissal when they hire people. The last thing these companies want are bad PR when their business is associated with children when they are supposed to keep their brands "safe and innocent" even though the blame can be placed on both sides (Nickelodeon and Biggs).

But at least from my opinion, the twitter remarks Biggs made didn't seem to make that much attention (not on any entertainment news television programs) and the SeaWorld remarks are timed when there's already a sizable tide of resentment against it (with so many celebrities against SeaWorld). If Nickelodeon is affiliated somehow with SeaWorld, Nickelodeon could be silently distancing themselves from SeaWorld to avoid bad press, but Biggs' remarks certainly aren't welcomed in putting more attention to this delicate situation between the two companies.

Well, to be fair, Jason was also working on his show "Orange is the New Black" so that could have been the reason he had a replacement as well as the fact that his wife was still pregnant and probably needed to be taken to appointments. She had the baby in February of this year, so we don't really know exactly when that ep was being recorded. I feel Dominic did a decent job and sounded pretty close to Biggs in his voice, just a little off. I have a feeling it'll be a temporary thing as there were rumors before that Biggs was fired, and I remember someone asking Ciro about that on FB and not getting a response, so we all figured it was a rumor.

Honestly, I'm not going to worry about it. Yes, it's a bummer if he's being replaced, but maybe his schedule is too hectic for him to continue voicing Leo, and they can't afford to have a VA who can't make the recording sessions unless he records via phone, which he can do. So, we'll just have to wait and see how things go from here.

I notice that other sites aren't even commenting on Leonardo's voice change, I don't think any other place even noticed it other than our forum. IGN didn't mention it and neither is anyone on Toonzone.

They picked a pretty good sound-a-like.

I've actually had suspicions for the last year that Biggs had been dropped from the show. I asked Ciro at the time and he denied it, but there's been continual evidence pointing to that being the case.
