We can't assume its for a Purge Movie. Even if the creator from that film series is involved. Perhaps they are coming up with an original idea.

Just saw it. It's OK... but definitely has a heavy-handed "message" about illegal immigrants = heroes, with everyone in the U.S. fleeing to Canada and Mexico at the end as "Dreamers" because the Purge goes on forever.
