That being said the recently teased 'Lita's future' doesn't match the future we saw in the 20/20 issue where Pepperoni was just much bigger than at present and not mutated like in the issue #117 panel, but then 20/20 isn't definitively canon either.
I meant MAKE TLR a potential future so its in continuity.... not that it is currently.

And that being said, Lita's future isn't the definitive future the Turtles will have either. Every single potential (canon) future we've seen so far, including Splinter's vision, was averted due to the characters taking steps to prevent them or even just knowing about them. Like what the Turtles did to stop Shredder and Krang the first time around, or Lita traveling back to ensure the battle of the bands takes place and changes everything. Hence the real future will be the one the characters never see coming and we, the readers, get to experience in real time without any foresight. Does that make sense?

Lita's future is from the year 2040, It will take a long time to get to that point. She told Leo before she left to remember the names Bob and Carmen. These are characters who appear to be important in Lita's future, And we did see them in Lita's new future timeline in this issue, So in a couple of issues we will be introduced to the young version of these characters.

Yeah, but Bob and Carmen being brought into the fold doesn't mean that particular, specific future will come to pass now. The (alternate) timeline is still there, but Future Lita did and said enough during her trip back in time to make sure the main timeline in the comic diverged from hers.

Another thing to take into account, She told her younger self a secret, We don't know what this secret could be, But it could something that will happen to her in the future issue, Who knows what it could be, But it would be something little Lita will remember her older self telling her.

I think the very fact that Future Lita was present to tell her past self said secret was enough - even disregarding everything else that happened - to split the timelines. It didn't happen the first time around, when Lita was growing up, so this is a completely new thing. The past changed and so will the future, but the other timelines (the one Future Lita came from and the one she went back to after fixing things) are still there. On top of the one that is still unfolding in the pages of the comic. At least that's how I see it, though admittedly time travel is always a complicated subject and liable to give anyone a headache.

It's been said enough times before but it's like Trunks changing the past in DBZ, his future remains and is unchanged but the future for the present timeline characters has changed.

Ya interested to see what these characters bring to the story as well as Saki being back and as a good guy (at least for the time being) they have opened up this universe so well with added characters. It’s exciting!!

Yes and no. The parallel with Trunks' timeline(s) is clear, and time travel seems to work in much the same way here. But... Lita traveled back in time because her timeline had gone so very wrong, and yet the future she returns to looks very bright and sunny and happy, and everyone is together. It doesn't add up unless we consider that she created another timeline by coming back to change things and is returning to that one, not the one she originally left. I dunno, this makes more sense in my head than I am able to put in writing. Time travel is always hard to explain.

Agreed with this completely, and not just with the Ninja Turtle universe... it's with any universe. It really depends on the writer and what their plans are for the script of the story. I have seen time travel changed so much through the years, especially when you involve multiverses and different time streams. Trying to keep up with the Flash is one of the most confusing.

Yep. There's only so many "Damn it, Barry!"'s one can hear before we stop giving a damn about Barry.
