Problem is there's already been a 1 year timeskip from issue 101 to where we're at now (since they celebrated Christmas in issue 124, and there was already a 6 month timeskip from 100 to issue 101 if I remember right).
I just can't buy the Utroms/Triceratons have been sitting there for a full year and are exactly the same as left them in the issues from before City at War...which was over 30 issues ago... |

This issue is about the Punk Frogs, So the opening pages are just setting up some future event that will happen once we jump back into current times.

Is there someone in here that likes that art style? I don't at all.

It's by Pablo Tunica and the few occasions I can recall it being used before were the Toad Baron Universe issues and the Dimension X and TMNT/GBII miniseries where, to me at least, it felt fitting for the extra-dimensional/ dimension hopping nature of those stories with it's kinda-cartoon-alieny elements and feel.

I can just picture the exchange...
IDW: It's been a long time and we need you to pick up the dangling plot thread of Burnow Island. Campbell: Nuh-uh, I just wanna keep going with Mutant Town. I'm not doing that. IDW: You'll be able to write about (literally alien) genderless, asexual societies. Campbell: I'm in! When do I start? |

The artists art style is going to take some getting used to, especially for the humans. Baxter's face looks distorted on the TV. But overall seems interesting.
Also I don't like the idea of April and Mona sleeping together. |

They're in the turtles living room, i'd say they're just trying to stay warm. I wonder if Mona's cold blooded or not.

So Bobby Curnow quit citing burnout and needing a change. Pablo Tunica is now the editor. I don't know a thing about Tunica, what is his resume or background? Also, Tom was promoted to editor. It read like the job that Bobby left behind, however is it higher up over the whole line?

He is? I guess I was assuming Tom would take over from Bobby. All I see about Pablo is that he's an artist out of Argentina.

That's an interesting question when you have to consider other reptile mutants out there, But I would have to assume they are warm blooded because of there half human side. |

1. Embryos form before an eggshell (but where did that ultrasound come from?)
2. What were Utroms doing....before this??? Also, we have to remember that Zog was born "naturally", so it makes sense that he'd be able to do the same. Zom probably just has the same mutation that Zog and his parents had.

Tom left, Bobby left, the writing has been sh*t, and now the art is going down the same path...
Look at the flowers, IDW TMNT. Just look at the flowers. |
