[Fan Art] TMNT Character Challenge (1990s edition)

At some point in the early '90s (1991?) I made a list of all of the TMNT characters I could think of. I randomly picked characters' names and drew them in my sketchbook. I never actually finished the project, but I ended up with 88 drawings. For the first time ever (because I just found and scanned them) I'm sharing them here (in alphabetical order even though they were drawn in a random order). I would've been about 13-15 at the time.

Very cool to see some 'vintage' TMNT fan art in 2023. Some real potential in a lot of them, too! Certainly very very good for the age you were. Donnie in the junkyard, Cudley, & Chameleon are my favorites.

Thanks! Chameleon is actually standing at my drawing desk at the time, where I had some of my drawings of Hulk and Spider-man on the wall.

At the time, I was an aspiring comic book artist. I'd take my art to cons, enter contests and try to get comic work from artist's alley (to no avail, but received lots of advice. One was "Do you want to be poor? Why do you want to be a comic book artist?"). In the late '90s, I switched course. I'm now in animation/3d design, but I rarely draw anymore outside of concept sketches and rough storyboards. I do still have my old sketchbooks though.

I made this piece somewhat recently (2017), but I think I've shared it here before. It's a play on the classic X-men #1 cover.
