July 2025 solicitations

Spoiler:

I know the 'Best Of' comics are a bit of an anomaly amongst the other releases but they clearly have an audience and I'm wondering how much of a pull that 'long lost' Mirage story in the Renet volume will have.

Probably not a lot. People who wanted that story bought it as Tales of the TMNT #71 years ago at this point.

So does Dave Sim refuse to allow IDW to print issue eight or something? It was included in UC and CC but wasn't in the compendium.

They better include that Mirage story in a Tales compendium someday. No way am I buying a "Best of Renet" book that has redundant stuff in it.

Are you talking about TMNT issue eight or that replacement story?

I definitely like the quote “first OFFICIAL English-language printing”!
It will be interesting how different their translation will be from ours. Or did they find the original script, hmmm? Also, do they include the last page that wasn't printed in the Spanish edition?
And, of course, the format provides no frontispiece or cover for this story.

The replacement story, it's never been officially released in english ever, only by fans. Weird they'd put it in a random collection like this instead of the compendiums.

Mutant Nation is basically just the replacement for the old TMNT Universe mini's. Wonder if it'll last 25 issues like it did.

I'm kinda surprised they're giving Drako a spotlight issue, I thought the Pantheon were just an excuse to use Hob and threw in a bunch of random characters as the members.

I'm buying the book just to figure all this out!
I'm still surprised they chose such a random book to publish this story. I'm glad they did though, $8 for a 2-stapled comic book is ok while I would not have bought a whole collection just for this "official" release.
