Another two sketch covers... click through for bigger images of both. Both done by a guy called Gary Parkin here in the UK. Didn't know a whole bunch about him beforehand, but I liked the work, and it didn't cost very much either

Thanks Nate!!!
Duuuuude, thanks for posting a close up. I've only seen distant shots of it on FB when Kevin posted them colored.

Can't wait to get my Raph in the mail. Instant framing garanteed

Some new stuff. I have just picked some of the color guides from the TMNT Book III by First Publishing. This was the first TMNT books that were offered in color, and the first TMNT book (Book III) I ever bought with my own money. Mom wasn't happy I spent allowence on some book that had big boobs(Renet) on the cover. Dad was cool with it...

These are from 1987 and are the oldest TMNT pieces I now own. Mousers, Triceratons, Fugitoid, Utroms and exo suits, the Fearsome Foursome and Splinter... What more could a guy want? It doesn't get any better than this, that is until I get them signed! Grail type stuff for me and it's Friday!

Michael Dooney @ Baltimore Con 2013

I asked him to do a TCRI programmer April. It's kinda tough to see, but the turtle shell necklace is a nice touch. Dooney is the man!

Neat! Dooney seems to have done this in a slightly more cartoony-style than some of his past April pieces I've seen. And the turtle necklace is a nice touch.

The idea of April working a TCRI job is unique. [Kinda makes me wonder if she's got an Utrom hiding in her gut!] What made you think to request that concept, Sofistocat?

April was a computer programmer in the vol.1 comics from issue 2 all the way through City at War(She even got a job as a programmer when she was out in Cali living with her sister). I'm a vol.1 purist, nuff said. Her face in the early issues of the original comics was very similar to the cartoon from the 80's. It wasn't until after her Dad's shop got trashed and set ablaze (issue 10) that she transitioned from Brunette to Black hair.

Oh, sure, I'm quite familiar with Mirage Volume 1, but I was just curious as to the specific connection between April & TCRI. Come to think of it... in the Fugitoid issue, there was a female Federation soldier who was selling information to the Triceratons for drugs. Lonae was her name, and I always thought her design was almost a reflection of the same design E&L used for April O'Neil in her initial appearance:

April was an intern programmer at TCRI. Not sure if that was the connection you were speaking of, but that was my reasoning.
