My Lion-O figure arrived today! \( 'u')/



It was one of my top 3 most sought after toys, alongside optimus prime & he-man (* n.n,*)
I wanted this for a few years...
But, scalpers always demanded a high price for it (And also, the opportunity to purchase it was slim since i generally am able to afford more modestly priced action figures, so i do not actively look for toys in this price range to begin with.)

It's pretty cool, and there's a little lever on the back and he does a stabbing motion when you pull it down which is pretty fun

I'm happy to finally have it..!I had it as a kid, but had since lost it.

Now my "Classic Collection" Leonardo figure should arrive hopefully sometime tomorrow, or monday.

Yeah, it's great!I'd love to get panthro or tygra someday, as they're not as expensive as i expected, but i would like to save up for he-man or maybe a transformers first...

If it's a bootleg, it's the best bootleg i've come across yet--but, that doesn't justify them advertising it as "Original Playmates"

She is missing her tail, which i'd have appreciated if he had told me beforehand, but is otherwise in great shape for a nearly 20 year old figure!And for 4 bucks per figure i can't really complain!It's a steal.

He did say it was an additional gift, he was really auctioning the 'monstar'...i can't blame him on that respect, but as you can probably guess, i was more interested in Lola Bunny...

It's kinda one of the toys i'd have liked to own since my childhood, because i remember seeing it at a mall once, and she is one of my favorite characters.

I got JOCSA ghostbusters Egon (unlike my "Slimed Heroes" egon, this one regular Suit Color & head sculpt) & Ray Stantz!!!



And didn't spend a dime, either x'3

See, i didn't have money left (spend what i had on a transformers earlier..)
So i thought of maybe mustering up what little leftover happy meal and lackluster toys i had in the hopes that, because of the quantity, maybe i could get something...i took the chance, having nothing to lose.

It was mostly crap, so he just accepted my lion-o minifigure...
HOWEVER, he gave me $80 ars in credit for it!! (Which was quite generous, i was trying to sell it online for $100 ARS, and was hoping to get that for maybe the whole lot of 10-20 toys, not just the minifigure alone!)

And as it turned out, when i asked about the ghostbusters figures, he said $80..i was floored!!!
We traded! (* uvu*)

Then since there was nothing else that'd interest him other than lion-o from the 20 toy lot...i bit the bullet and took out my last resort, the andromeda gashapon (i already had newer andromeda minifigure, and the full fledged andromeda & lion-o action figures, so i don't particularly care at this point if it nets me some ghostbusters!!)

Sooo, he let me have Ray Stantz for it!! x'3

What a nice guy, it really made my day...two 3/3.5 inches minifigures without joint articulation in exchange for 2 full fledged 5-6 inches vintage action figures?Sounds like a deal to me~

Possibly one of THE neatest burger king toys i've seen...seriously, this thing rivals the "proper" retail toy story action figures i got, and then some...i didn't even know it existed until i visited the store and i look for happy meal toys often online, so, it was quite the surprise.

You know, crap paintjob, crap sculpt, no articulation, small size...happy meal fare >_>, i wanted one, because of the price tag, but the low quality kept me away from it.

Furthermore there may be a reason i haven't seen this before even tho i've been looking for a decent woody happy meal toy for about 3 years now...it is nowhere to be found on mercadolibre argentina! http://listado.mercadolibre.com.ar/m..._OrderId_PRICE

As it turns out from a "burger king woody" search on eBay, it's a U.S release only!!!

Anyway, the kicker?He gave it to me for like 2 bucks...but the real kicker?That money was a gift, so really, it was free (* uwu*) i'm not usually that fortunate but today i got lucky for a change!!!

Thank you pal today, my 'Transformers G1' Ultra Magnus figure arrived!! (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))




I've always wanted an 80's Optimus Prime toy, but it was not affordable to me, so even after many years, i could not purchase one. (Optimus is $3000 ARS...that equals $300 united state dollars...i don't have that kind of money i can rarely pay more than $500 for a toy, because the economic situation is not so good, i only make commission money from drawings i sell on the internet, so i need to be frugal unfortunately...but this was $324 ARS!!!I was extremely hyped.)

As you can see this uses the same mold as G1 Optimus: http://i60.tinypic.com/260v4v5.jpg ! It is the same exact sculpt... (* 'u'*) (Take He-Man's "Faker" as an example of this practice of reusing pre-existing sculpts.)

So, it will be the closest i'll ever get to an 80's optimus toy * n.n* i am so happy to finally have one for myself.
It will become one of the toys i am most proud of in my collection.

I am thinking of printing an 'Autobot' decal from the internet and paste it onto his right shoulder, and cut little pieces of acrylic or plastic and glue them to the windows...it will look really cool!
I may be able to create reproduction fists for it with "Sculpey" clay aswell!

At first, i considered repainting it red, blue and chrome silver, but i rather like it, and now changed my mind and decided against it, i don't want to modify or damage a vintage toy...
I can always purchase "Motormaster" which is very cheap and not rare or vintage, and repaint it as optimus, they also share the same sculpt...here is Motormaster:

It kinda does, actually!
Turns out, it may be the UK ultra magnus, not the U.S.A one...this one doesn't have chrome paint on the legs, or blue and red paint on its head like the northamerican counterpart does:

Anyway, i was thinking of printing some decals and adding em, right?

So...sounds like a plan, i think i may order some in the future it should make my figure prettier looking and does not permanently modify or damage the actual figure in any way...it's also not a problem to import it from the USA since it's just a sheet of adhesive paper, it is no different than receiving a letter, argentinean customs don't stop those, just parcels and packages.

Thank you i was so happy with them...it's all stuff i was looking for because i rather like the burger king simpsons & toy story toys, so i decided to collect some of them in addition to retail action figures (i'd want marge, maggie, rex & slinky now)
I only paid like $4 bucks for each of them n.n, it's such a good price!You can only find "huevo kinder" simpsons minifigures for that price...they are minuscule (about 3 cm lol)...main characters tend to demand higher prices even if they are the burger king toys...and, i also saved on shipping since i went directly to the store which is 1 bus fare away from my block.
Same price for the batman and potatohead...pretty cool because that way i could afford the space jam ones while still getting interesting toys.

Anyway, i looked up the lion king toy, and it turns out it wasn't really a happy meal toy!It's a proper retail figure nice score!He gave it to me for less than 3 bucks, and the "fighting action" feature works and all...it's this one:

Mine is the variant which came in a pack of various lion king figures, it's basically the same except the standalone has a gradient color paint on his back...but other than that, exact same toy & feature, same mold..:

I'd much rather mine sound that way, LOL...because the battery on mine is fine, and, for some reason, they used some 'beeping sound' soundchip in it, which i don't remember robocop ever emitting...it sounds more like R2D2, it's kinda bizarre since it's robocop we're talking about ahaha...but i think that makes it all the more amusing.

And i see...don't worry dude, since you're in canada, and the u.s & canadian ebay are so vast, you're bound to come across a whole bunch of them overtime so there's always a chance to purchase it back.
And trust me on this, it'll be way cheaper than what i paid for it (i certainly overpaid for it, but this is because there aren't too many deals locally in argentina and i just wanted the toy so i didn't care...in foreign ebay, it's just the opposite!)
